Police Report Highlights

TAYLOR POLICE: Officers responded to more than 65 calls between April 7-13.

On April 7, officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic dispute in a home in the 500 block of South Main Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 900 block of Oak Street. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). A report of a stolen vehicle sent officers to the 600 block of Oak Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop at the Walmart on Main Street.

On April 8, officers were dispatched to investigate a water main leak in the intersection of South Keyser Avenue and Union Street. Police were dispatched to check the welfare of a resident in a home in the 500 block of Oak Street. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the Price Chopper on Main Street. A similar call sent officers to the intersection of Davis and Main streets.

Police were dispatched to investigate a report of a collapsed mobile home on Rockledge Terrace. A shoplifting complaint sent officers to the 1300 block of North Main Street.

On April 9, officers were dispatched to investigate a reported fight at the Riverside High School on Davis Street.

On April 10, officers were dispatched to investigate a retail theft complaint at the Walmart on Main Street. A mental health evaluation call sent officers to a home in the 300 block of Center Street. Officers also responded to investigate a parking complaint in the 400 block of Lincoln Street.

On April 11, officers were dispatched to investigate a reported fight at the Taylor Community Center on Main Street. A reported motor vehicle theft sent officers to the 400 block of West Taylor Avenue. Officers also responded to investigate a reported theft in the 100 block of Main Street.

On April 12, officers were dispatched to investigate a harassment complaint at the Dollar Tree on Main Street. Police conducted traffic stops in the 1300 and 400 blocks of Main Street. Officers also conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Vine Street. The driver was arrested for DUI. A reported verbal domestic dispute sent officers to a home in the 100 block of East Taylor Street.

Officers were dispatched to investigate a dispute between neighbors in the 100 block of Kennedy Boulevard. An activated alarm sent officers to the Game Stop on Main Street. Police also conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Oak Street.

MOOSIC POLICE: Officers responded to more than 80 calls between April 6-12.

On April 6, police were dispatched to investigate an activated burglar alarm in the 900 block of Johns Drive. A similar call sent officers to a home on Glenmaura National Boulevard. Police responded to assist the fire department with a call in on Joyce Street. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to Holland Park.

On April 7, officers were dispatched to investigate a hit-and-run accident in the 3600 block of Birney Avenue. A trespassing complaint sent officers to a home in the 800 block of Main Street.

On April 8, officers were dispatched to investigate a retail theft complaint at the Turkey Hill on Birney Avenue. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the 300 block of Montage Mountain Road. Officers were sent to investigate a report of an abandoned vehicle at the Moosic MiniMart on Birney Avenue.

On April 8, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a stolen cellphone at the Kmart on Birney Avenue. A criminal mischief complaint sent officers to a home on Agnes Street.

On April 9, officers were dispatched to investigate a harassment complaint in the 800 block of Main Street. A similar call sent officers to a home in the 500 block of Main Street.

On April 10, police were dispatched to investigate a report of an intoxicated man at the Turkey Hill on Birney Avenue. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the 800 block of Davis Street. Officers were dispatched to investigate a harassment complaint in the 500 block of Moosic Heights.

A report of harassment sent officers to investigate in a home in the 500 block of Minooka Avenue. Police assisted Taylor police with a call in the 100 block of Main Street.

On April 11, officers were dispatched to investigate an activated alarm in the 1000 block of Springbrook Avenue.

On April 12, officers were dispatched to investigate an ordinance violation in the 500 block of Main Street. A robbery complaint sent officers to the 4600 block of Birney Avenue.

OLD FORGE POLICE: Officers responded to more than 25 calls between April 6-12.

On April 6, officers were dispatched to assist the Taylor police department with locating an individual in the 400 block of South Main Street.

On April 7, officers were dispatched to investigate a criminal mischief complaint in the 700 block of South Main Street. A complaint of criminal mischief to a residence sent officers to a home in the 1000 block of South Main Street. Officers also responded to investigate a similar call in the 400 block of Bridge Street. A reported theft sent officers to the 400 block of Dunn Avenue.

On April 8, officers were dispatched to investigate an animal complaint in the 400 block of Moosic Road. A report of abandoned vehicles sent officers to the 1200 block of Bennett Street. Officers were sent to investigate a reported assault in a home in the 200 block of South Main Street. A theft complaint sent officers to a home in the 100 block of Sussex Street. Officers were also dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious man in the 300 block of Vine Street.

On April 9, officers were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Henderson Street to investigate a report of a verbal domestic dispute. A harassment complaint sent officers to a home in the 1200 block of Bennett Street. Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute in progress. Officers conducted two arrests. Police issued two arrest warrants in the 100 block of Carbon Street and the 100 block of Henderson Street.

On April 11, officers also responded to a home in the 600 block of Oak Street to investigate an activated alarm. A fraud complaint sent officers to the 200 block of Wyalusing Street.

On April 12, officers were dispatched to investigate a loud noise complaint in the 800 block of Sibley Avenue. Officers were also dispatched to assist Taylor police with a call.
