Hopewell Crime for June 30

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: at 4:03 p.m. June 19, police responded to the 3500 block of River Road for a reported assault. Known offenders assaulted victim with hands and knives. One offender arrested.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 9:59 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 2100 block of Cloverdale Avenue for reported shots fired. Unknown offenders fired shots, hitting two victims. Narcotics were also found at the scene.

- Brandishing Firearm: At 7:54 p.m. June 20, police responded to the 200 block of Appomattox Street for a reported Larceny. During argument over missing cell phone, known offender displayed a gun and was arrested.

- Brandishing Firearm: At 4:30 p.m. June 22, police responded to the 500 block of Piper Square Drive for a reported weapon offense. Known offender brandished a firearm and was arrested.

- Burglary/ Breaking and Entering/Commercial: At 1:30 p.m. June 18, police responded to the 2000 block of Cloverdale Avenue regarding a burglary. Unknown offender entered water treatment center by removing window a/c unit and stole two other a/c units, water meters and fishing rod holder.

- Burglary/Breaking and entering/Residential: At 5:12 a.m. June 17, police responded to the 4100 block of Old Iron Court for a reported assault. Known offender entered residence by unknown means, assaulted two victims by pushing, refused to let residents call for help and was arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering /Residential: At 8 p.m. June 17, police responded to S. 8th Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered a residence via unsecured rear door and stole cash and game system.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 2 p.m. June 17, police responded to the 400 block of S. 9th Avenue regarding a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by kicking rear door and stole TV.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: at 8:30 p.m. June 17, police responded to the 100 block of S. 9th Avenue to assist a citizen. Unknown offender entered residence via unsecured window and stole TV, a/c unit and cell phones.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 10 a.m. June 17, police responded to headquarters for a reported burglary in the 3500 block of Courthouse Road. Unknown offender entered residence by prying rear door and stole two TVs. Offender also forced entry to a shed, cut a lawn mower fuel line and drained gasoline.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 9 a.m. June 19, police responded to S. 8th Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via rear window and stole knife, sword, jewelry box and jewelry.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: at 7 p.m. June 22, police responded to the 300 block of S. Mesa Drive for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via unsecured rear door and stole laptop and safe.

- Kidnapping/Abduction: At 11:45 p.m. June 22, police responded to headquarters for a reported assault that took place in the 200 block of S. 5th Avenue. Known offender assaulted victim, kept victim from leaving and was later arrested.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: at 5 p.m. June 18, police responded to the 200 block of N. 12th Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole bicycle from residential porch.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 5:05 p.m. June 20, police responded to the 500 block of N. 8th Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole a bicycle from residential yard. Bicycle later recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: at 6 p.m. June 23, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 300 block of S. 8th Avenue. Unknown offender stole a bicycle from next to a residence.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 1:10 a.m. June 17, police responded to the 900 block of Colonial Corner Drive for a reported larceny. Further investigation revealed that an unknown offender stole a case of beer.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 3:30 p.m. June 17, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported larceny. Known offender stole food from business, fled and was apprehended. Petitions obtained.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 12:39 a.m. June 21, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported shoplifting. Known offender stole personal product from business and was later arrested.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12:30 p.m. June 16, police responded to the 800 block of Arlington Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole an electric meter from a residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 6 p.m. June 19, police responded to the 400 block of Delton Avenue in regards to a larceny. Unknown offender stole a bicycle from a shed.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 1 p.m. June 19, police responded to the 1500 block of Roanoke Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole a game system and television from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 2 a.m. June 21, police responded to the 4100 block of Old Iron Road for a reported larceny. Known offender stole TV and TV stand from residence. Warrants obtained.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 10 a.m. June 21, police responded to the 2200 block of Danville Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole medication from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 p.m. June 22, police responded to the 3300 block of Courthouse Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole lawn mower from shed.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 1:30 a.m. June 21, police responded to the 5100 block of Plaza Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle by unknown means and stole gps, camera, jewelry and military clothing.

- Robbery/Individual: At 8:20 p.m. June 21, police responded to Johnston Willis Medical Center for a reported robbery that took place in the 400 block of Allen Ave. Known offender assaulted victim with hands, stole cash and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1:40 p.m. June 18, police responded to the 600 block of Cedar Level Road for a reported vandalism. Known offender threw a rock at an occupied vehicle, damaging it and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 a.m. June 19, police responded to the 2700 block of Joseph Hooker Street for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 7 p.m. June 19, police responded to the 500 block of N. 3 1/2 Avenue for a reported disturbance. Known offender was found to be drunk in public and damage police vehicle by kicking while being arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2 :13 p.m. June 21, police responded to the 2700 block of Poplar Street for a reported disturbance. Known offender assaulted victim, vandalized vehicle and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2 p.m. June 21, police responded to the 1700 block of Arlington Road for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged a mail box.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12:53 p.m. June 22, police responded to the 1200 block of City Point Road for a reported disturbance. Known offender threatened victim and with a group, broke residential window by throwing rocks.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 5:15 p.m. June 21, police responded to the area of Hopewell Street and Appomattox Street for a report of brandishing of a handgun. Known offender threatened victims, brandished a handgun and was arrested.
