DUI charges
The following person was recently arrested for driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
James Robert McIntyre, 53, of Sayre, by Athens Township police, on May 4, at the intersection of West Lockhart Street and Vallilee Place in Athens Township. McIntyre has also been charged with failure to drive on the right side of the roadway and careless driving. McIntyre refused to submit to a blood test to determine his blood alcohol content. McIntyre has been sent a summons to appear June 3 before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw for a preliminary hearing.
Man charged with selling bath salts
A Towanda man was recently arrested by the Bradford County Drug Task Force on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Donald W. Morgenstern, 57, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.
Police said Morgenstern sold 3.4 grams of purported bath salts to a confidential informant on Oct. 17, 2013 in an Athens Township parking lot.
Morgenstern was arraigned May 8 and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Morgenstern's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 20.
