District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following recent criminal case resolutions in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

SENTENCED

Tiffany Chandler, 22, Lockwood, N.Y., was sentenced to Probation for a term of 24 months and a fine of $1100.00 for the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the third degree, Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Public Drunkenness, a Summary offense.

Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department and Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Chandler for the offenses in March 2013 and July 2013.

Daniel Bell, 65, Towanda, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of Probation to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five months to 23 months, 29 days and a fine of $2000.00, for the offense of Corruption of Minors, a Felony of the third degree.

Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Bell for the offense on July 8, 2012.

Kamry Smiley, 24, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 14 days to 23 months, 29 days followed by a term of Probation for 24 months and a fine of $500.00 for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree and Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Smiley for the offenses on August 10 and March 22, 2014.

Allan Simons, 59, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 10 days to six months and a fine of $1000.00 and he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Simons following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Township.

Joshua Rose, 28, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from four months to 23 months, 29 days, she was also ordered to pay restitution of $1240.00 and a fine of $1500.00 for the offense of Recklessly Endangering another Person, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Officer Steven Burlingame of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Rose for the offense in 2013.

Shannon Kellam, 36, of Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from two months to 12 months and a fine of $1000.00; she will also lose her driver's license for six months for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor.

Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Kellam for the offense on Sept. 30, 2013.

Francis Moore, 43, of New Field, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from six months to 23 months, 29 days and a fine of $500.00, for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree.

Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Moore for the offense on Jan. 8, 2014.

GUILTY PLEAS

Kamry Smiley, 24, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Smiley will be sentenced on June 5, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department

Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Smiley for the offense on March 22, 2014.

Casey Shedden, 23, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a Felony.

Shedden will be sentenced on July 28, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department

Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vise and Narcotics Unit arrested Shedden following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Paul Arnold, 55, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Arnold will be sentenced on July 14, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department

Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Arnold for the offense in March 2014.

Donnell Wiaiavski, 22, Wellsboro, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Wiaiavski will be sentenced on July 14, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department

Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Wiaiavski following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Township on Jan. 22, 2014.

PLACEMENT IN THE ACCELERATED REHABILITATIVE DISPOSITION (ARD) PROGRAM

Breanna Herman, 21, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Herman will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Herman must perform 40 hours of community service.

Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department filed the charges on Oct. 15, 2013 for the offense in Towanda Borough.

Matthew Rogers, 50, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Rogers will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use.

Additionally, Rogers must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department filed the charges on Jan. 19, 2014 for the offense in Athens Township.

NOLO CONTENDERE

Victoria Rosado, Blossburg, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Accident Involving Personal Injury while Unlicensed, a Felony of the third degree and Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor.

Rosado will be sentenced on July 28, 2014, following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced.

Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Rosado following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

David Terkay, 56, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor.

Terkay will be sentenced on July 28, 2014, following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Alex Campbell, 24, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $200.00 and costs.

Officer Patrick Butkiewicz of the Laceyville Borough Police Department arrested Campbell for the offense on April 12, 2014, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Borough.

Alva Decker, 25, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Criminal Mischief, a summary offense and was sentenced to time served plus a fine and restitution in the amount of $2900.00, and court costs.

Decker spent 20 days in jail in Wyoming and New York on fugitive warrants for the charges.

Trooper Craig Flynn of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Decker for the offense between Dec. 26, 2010 and Jan. 8, 2011, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Benjamin Galacci, 27, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense, and was sentenced to 13 days and court costs.

Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Galacci for the offense on Sept. 15, 2013, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Athens Township.

Audrey VanDyke, 29, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 14 days and court costs.

Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested VanDyke for the offense on Sept. 15, 2013, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Jean Lane, 42, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 14 days and court costs.

Corporal Douglas Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Lane for the offense on Dec. 17, 2013, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Monroe Township.

Gary Brassfield, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $50.00 and court costs.

Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Brassfield for the offense on Feb. 8, 2014, following investigation of a Disorderly Conduct that occurred in Towanda Borough.
