The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.
- Assault-Aggravated: At 5:43 p.m. June 9, police responded to the 400 block of S. 21st Ave. for a reported disturbance. Known offenders attempted to hit victim with a crow bar, vandalized vehicle and made threatening phone calls. No injuries.
- Assault-Aggravated: At 10:38 p.m. June 12, police responded to the 3200 block of Courthouse Road for a reported assault. During argument, known offender attempted to cut victim with knife and was arrested. No injuries.
- Assault-Aggravated/Domestic: At 11:38 p.m. June 10, police responded to the 600 block of E. Broadway St. for a reported assault. During argument, known offender hit victim in head with glass pot, causing lacerations and was arrested.
- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 9:30 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 3400 block of Oaklawn Blvd. for a reported burglary. Unknown offender attempted to enter residence by forcing rear door, damaging frame. No entry made.
- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 5:45 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 1000 block of Sunnyside Ave. for a reported burglary. Known offenders entered residence by forcing rear door, stole TVs and were later arrested.
- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 12:10 a.m. June 14, police responded to the 2600 block of Bristol St. for a reported disturbance. Known offender entered residence by removing window and was arrested. Nothing stolen.
- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 9:25 a.m. June 14, police responded to the 500 block of N. 4th Ave. for reported assault. Known offender forced hi way into residence, physically assaulted victim, then left with a cell phone and I-Pod. Offender was arrested a short time later and items were returned.
- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 4 p.m. June 14, police responded to the 1000 block of Maplewood Ave. in reference to a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by cutting lock and kicking rear door and stole debit cards and medication.
- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 10:50 p.m. June 12, police made contact with a subject in the 3800 block of Kippax Drive. Known offender was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.
- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 10:37 p.m. June 15, police attempted to conduct a traffic stop in the 100 block of S. 8th Ave. Driver fled from the vehicle, was apprehended, found to be in possession of a narcotic and was arrested.
- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 10:30 a.m. June 10, police responded to the 100 block of S. Hopewell St. in regards to a larceny that occurred in the 400 block of Water St. Unknown offender stole orange work warning light from vehicle by cutting wires.
- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 7:53 p.m. June 10, police responded to the 2600 block of Oaklawn Blvd. in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole vehicle registration stickers.
- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 4:13 p.m. June 9, police responded to the 1000 block of High Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unsecured lawn mower from the rear yard.
- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 2:30 p.m. June 12, police responded to headquarters in reference to a larceny that occurred in the 300 block of Brown Ave. Known offender stole hair straighteners and shoes from residence.
- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12 p.m. June 13, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny. Known offender had found lost cell phone, but was refusing to return it. Phone was later returned.
- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1:30 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 600 block of Eppes St. for a reported larceny. Known offenders stole bicycles from rear yard. Bicycles later recovered.
- Larceny-All Other Larceny; At 12 p.m. June 14, police responded to the 3400 block of Norfolk St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole medications from back pack at pool.
- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 7:35 p.m. June 14, police responded to the 5200 block of Plaza Drive for a reported shoplifting. Known offender attempted to steal meat products from business and was arrested.
- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 8:30 p.m. June 10, police responded to headquarters in reference to a larceny that occurred in the 3500 block of Portsmouth St. Unknown offender stole ring and license from residence.
- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 5 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 100 block of S. 5th Ave. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender cut a padlock from a storage building and stole lawn equipment, power tools and gas cans.
- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 8 a.m. June 13, police responded to the 3300 block of Boston St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole a handgun, cash and electronics from residence.
- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 1 a.m. June 14, police were dispatched to the 500 block of N. 4th Ave. in reference to a larceny. Known offender stole jewelry and digital camera from residence and was arrested.
- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 1:45 p.m. June 14, police responded to the 3000 block of Pickett St. for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole an unsecured lawn mower from side yard.
- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 8:45 a.m. June 10, police responded to the 3400 block of River Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole purse from vehicle.
- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9:19 p.m. June 9, police responded to the 1800 block of Sunnyside Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke the front window of the residence.
- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 1 p.m. June 12, police responded to the 1000 block of Langston Park Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender plugged sink and flooded bathroom
- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11 p.m. June 12, police responded to the 1200 block of Tabb Ave. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged vehicle window.
- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 3 a.m. June 12, police responded to the 2100 block of Gordon St. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged garage door. No entry made.
- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9 p.m. June 13, police responded to the 1100 block of Roanoke Ave. for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 100 block of S. 5th Ave. Known offender damaged vehicle with fists.
- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11:14 p.m. June 14, police responded to the 2200 block of Norfolk St. for a reported vandalism. Unknown offenders damaged residential siding with rocks.
- Weapon Law Offenses: At 10:15 a.m. June 9, police were dispatched to S. 8th Ave. in reference to a shooting incident. Unattended juvenile shot sibling with unsecured firearm. During investigation, mother and stepfather were found to be obstructing justice, in possession of narcotics and firearms and were arrested on various charges.
- Weapon Law Offenses: At 6:20 p.m. June 10, police responded to the 1500 block of Roanoke Ave. for a report of shots fired. Unknown offender shot a firearm and fled. No injuries.
- Weapon Law Offenses: At 8:51 p.m. June 12, police discovered a firearms offense in the 2700 block of Maple St. Known offender was found to be concealing a firearm and was arrested.
- Weapon Law Offenses: At 2:54 a.m. June 14, police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Old Iron Road and Courthouse Road. Driver was found to be in possession of a concealed firearm and was arrested.
