Man charged with marijuana possession
A Barton, N.Y. man was recently arrested for criminal possession of marijuana by Tioga County, N.Y. sheriff's deputies.
According to information from the sheriff's office, Cole W. Duffek, 22, was also charged for operating a vehicle with the driver's view obstructed.
Police said Duffek was found to be in possession of approximately 50 grams of marijuana during a June 16 traffic stop on Route 282 in Nichols. While interviewing Duffek, police detected indicators of criminal activity and an odor of marijuana from the vehicle, police said.
Duffek was arraigned in Nichols Town Court and released with special conditions, police said. Duffek is scheduled to reappear July 1 in court.
