Fugitive from justice

State police at Towanda said that Tyrone Lamont Norris, 35, of Philadelphia, who was wanted in Tioga County, N.Y. by the Waverly Village Police Department regarding an active bench warrant for assault of the third degree, was being held in the Bradford County Correctional Facility on unrelated charges and was charged with one count of arrest prior to requisition July 10.

Police said the fugitive from justice was given a preliminary arraignment before District Court 42-3-01 on this charge, and was remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $55,000 straight bail pending further court action and his extradition to New York.

Fugitive arrested

State police at Towanda said Thomas Fay Ball, 56, of Kalkaska, Mich. was arrested without incident at 1:50 p.m. July 12 as a fugitive from justice by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Middle District of Pennsylvania, Scranton office, at a natural gas drilling site July 12 in Towanda Township.

Police said he was wanted in Michigan by the Kalkaska County Sheriff's Office regarding an active felony warrant for allegedly committing the crime of criminal sexual conduct - first degree. Police said this charge involves a person under 13 and a defendant 17 years of age or older. Also, the warrant was for allegedly committing the crime of criminal sexual conduct - second degree, with the same age parameters as the other charge. Police said the felony warrant was issued Feb. 26 in Michigan.

Police said he was charged with one count of arrest prior to requisition and given a preliminary arraignment before District Court 42-3-03 on this charge and remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 straight bail, pending further court action and his extradition to Michigan.
