The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 10:15 p.m., June 28, while on patrol in the 2200 block of Norfolk Street police made contact with a known offender trespassing on the railroad tracks. The offender was in possession of a firearm, illegal narcotics, attempted to flee and resisted arrest, injuring police.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Commercial: At 12 p.m., June 27, police responded to the 100 block of N 16th Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered business by unknown means and stole dolls, dinnerware and chairs.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 11:45 p.m., June 24, police were dispatched to the 4000 block of Cabin Creek Court in reference to a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by kicking front door. Nothing stolen.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 10:30 p.m., June 24, police responded to the 1200 block of Roanoke Avenue in reference to a burglary. Known offenders entered residence via unsecured window, stole change & shoes & were later arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 12 a.m., June 26, police responded to the 300 block of Monticello Drive for a reported of burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by cutting window screen and forcing window to access rear door lock and stole tv's.

- Drug Equipment Violation: At 2:36 a.m., June 28, police responded to the 2300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported unconscious person. Known offender was found to be under the influence, in possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 7:58 p.m., June 24, police responded to the 2900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported suspicious subject. Known offender was in possession of drug paraphernalia, intoxicated in public and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 9:58 p.m., June 26, police conducted a traffic stop at the 700 block of S 6th Ave. Driver was found to be in possession of a narcotic and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 9:24 p.m., June 28, while on patrol on the railroad tracks near the 2200 block of Norfolk Street police made contact with a known offender who was in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Forging, Uttering: At 9 a.m., June 25, police responded to the 1400 block of City Point Road for a fake check. Known offender attempted to utter a fake check and was arrested.

- Homicide-Murder/Non-Negligent: At 3: 48 p.m., June 28, police responded to the 200 block of Davisville Court for a reported assault. Upon arrival, victim was found deceased in the 300 block of Davisville from various stab wounds. Known offender had fled the area and was later arrested.

- Larceny/Theft Of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 7:30 p.m., June 27, police responded to the 2300 block of Dellrose Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole license plates from vehicle.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12:06 p.m., June 23, police responded to the 3000 block of Sherwood Lane for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole wagon wheels from yard.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 10 p.m., June 25, police responded to the 700 block 0f S 6th Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole flag and flower pot from outside of building.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12:01 a.m., June 27, police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Stewart Avenue in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole weed eater from unsecured shed.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 7 p.m., June 23, police responded to the 900 block of Industrial Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole portable computer hard drive from business.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 8 a.m., June 24, police responded to the 3900 block of Gloucester Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole lawn mower and weed trimmer from unsecured shed.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 2 a.m., June 23, police responded to the 500 block of Miles Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered unlocked vehicle and stole chainsaw and weed eater.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 9:30 p.m., June 25, police responded to the 3400 block of Boston Street in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole GPS from a vehicle.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 11 p.m., June 27, police responded to the 3400 block of Boston Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle by unknown means and stole i-pod, laptop and carrier.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 5:30 p.m., June 27, police were dispatched to the 100 block of S Radford Drive in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle by unknown means and stole change and A/V accessories.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12:01 a.m., June 27, police were dispatched to the 200 block of Phillips Drive in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender entered vehicle by unknown means and stole gps and stereo.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Stolen Auto: At 7:25 p.m., June 26, police responded to the area of N 12th Avenue and City Point Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole vehicle, which was later recovered.

- Robbery/Individual: At 12:50 a.m., June 24, police responded to the 4100 block of Old Iron Court for a reported robbery. Unknown offenders, one armed, robbed victim of cash, i-pod, keys and phone and fled the area.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 9:55 p.m., June 23, police responded to headquarters for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 00 Block of S 6th Avenue. Unknown offender cracked vehicle windshield.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 9:30 p.m., June 24, police responded to the 100 block of S Mesa Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 2:25 p.m., June 25, police responded to the 400 block of S Mesa Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke two windshields and one side window on two buses.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 10 a.m., June 27, police responded to the 4000 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported vandalism. Known offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 10:30 p.m., June 27, police responded to the 4100 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 9:15 p.m., June 27, police responded to the 300 block of Cavalier Square for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke commercial window.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 9:42 p.m., July 2, police responded to jrmc a reported gun shot victim who was shot in the 400 blk of S 21st Avenue. Known offender shot at victim, hitting shoulder. Warrants obtained.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 1 p.m., June 30, police responded to the 700 blk of E Poythess Street for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via unsecured window and stole cash.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 6:40 a.m., July 1, police responded to the 3500 block of Western Street in reference to a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence and stole tv, laptop, tablet, game system and medication.

- Burglary/Breaking And Entering/Residential: At 4:15 a.m., July 4, police responded to headquarters in reference to a reported burglary and brandishing a firearm in the 1500 block of Sunnyside Avenue. Known offender forced entry to a residence, brandished a firearm and was later arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 12:22 a.m., June 30, police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Arlington Road and Freeman Street. Passenger was found to be in possession of a concealed weapon and narcotics. Driver was found to be in possession of narcotics. Both arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 11:13 a.m., July 1, police conducted a traffic stop at Riverside Avenue and Riverside Loop. Driver fled on foot, was apprehended, found to be in possession of narcotics and arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 8:30 p.m., July 3, police conducted a traffic stop at City Point Road and S 5th Avenue. Front passenger was found to be in possession of narcotics. Rear passenger was found to be in possession of a concealed weapon and drug paraphernalia. Both arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 11:58 p.m., July 3, police conducted a traffic stop at Oaklawn Boulevard and Jefferson Park Road. Driver was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics and was arrested.

- Drug/Narcotic Violation: At 2:05 a.m., July 5, police attempted to stop a traffic at Buren Street and S 15th Avenue The vehicle attempted to elude police. After a short pursuit the vehicle stopped. Driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license. Further investigation revealed illegal drugs inside the vehicle. Multiple arrests made.

- Larceny/Theft Of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 12 p.m., July 3, police responded to the 3300 block of Virginia Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole vehicle tags.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3 p.m., July 1, police responded to the 800 block of E Poythress Street in reference to a larceny. Unknown offender stole cash from two victims' purses.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12 p.m., July 5, police responded to the 1500 block of Peterson Mill Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unsecured bicycle from rear yard. Bicycle later recovered undamaged.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 3:19 a.m., June 30, police responded to the 900 block of Colonial Corner Drive for a reported shoplifting. Known offender stole alcohol from business and was arrested.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 a.m., June 26, police responded to the 1300 block of S 1st Avenue for a reported larceny. Known offender stole medication from purse.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 8 p.m., July 3, police responded to the 5300 block of Plaza Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole unattended wallet containing cash.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 12 a.m., July 1, police responded to the 3500 block of gilbert st for a reported larceny. Unknown offender entered unsecured vehicle and stole GPS, clothing, CD's and medication.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 7 p.m., July 6, police responded to the 300 block of Libby Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender entered vehicle by damaging trunk lock and stole bartending kit.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 11 p.m., June 30, police responded to the 2400 block of Wakefield Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 11 p.m., July 1, police responded to the 300 block of S 13th Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender kicked vehicle door.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 5 p.m., July 2, police responded to the 1300 block of Roanoke Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 12 p.m., July 3, police responded to headquarters for a reported vandalism that occurred in the 200 blk of N 15th Avenue. Known offender destroyed a cell phone and was arrested.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 1:45 a.m., July 5, police responded to the area of Gloucester Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offenders vandalized a fence, a vehicle window and knocked over multiple trash cans in the area.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 5 p.m., July 5, police responded to the 500 blk of Stonewall Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11 p.m., July 5, police responded to the 1300 block of Sunnyside Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window with a brick.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction Of Property: At 11 p.m., July 5, police responded to the 400 block of S 15th Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender shot atm, damaging it. No money stolen.

- Vandalism/damage/destruction Of Property: At 6:35 p.m., July 6, police responded to the 3300 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported vandalism. After being denied alcohol, unknown offender vandalized a merchandising rack containing sunglasses.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 6:36 p.m., July 1, police responded to the 400 block of E Broadway to locate a juvenile out after curfew. Known offender was found to have an illegal, concealed weapon and was arrested.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 1:53 a.m., July 5, officers responded to the 1500 block of Piper Square Drive for a reported assault. Known offender threatened victim and fled from police, discarding the firearm. Offender was apprehended and arrested.
