Towanda man in stable condition following motorcycle crash
Neil A. Wilson Jr., 56, of Towanda was injured in a recent motorcycle accident at the intersection of U.S. Route 220 and township Route 586 in North Towanda Township, police said.
Wilson was driving a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle north on Route 220 when the vehicle collided with a deer that had run out into the roadway, police said.
The accident occurred at 7:51 a.m. Saturday, state police at Towanda said.
Wilson was transported to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, police said.
Wilson was listed in stable condition at the hospital Monday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the hospital.
Wilson was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.
Towanda man accused of stealing two vehicles
Joshua Todd Parsons of Towanda is accused of stealing a motor vehicle from a 50-year-old Towanda man at 4:50 p.m. Friday at a location on Beacon Light Road, Towanda, police said.
Parsons, 24, drove the vehicle through the Sheshequin Narrows construction zone on Sheshequin Road, Sheshequin Township, where he crashed the vehicle, police said.
Parsons then stole another vehicle from a 27-year-old Tunkhannock man in the construction zone, according to the state police at Towanda.
Parsons was arrested and arraigned, police said. He was then sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $95,000 bail, police said.
Athens woman injured in crash
Heather A. Bradley, 26, of Athens was transported by ambulance to Robert Packer Hospital after she was injured in a motor vehicle accident in Orwell Township, police said.
The accident occurred at 11:38 a.m. on Aug. 5, as Bradley was driving south on Bonin Road, police said.
For an unknown reason, Bradley's vehicle left the east side of the roadway and struck a tree, state police at Towanda said.
Towanda man charged with assault
Allen Albert Lowman, 43, of Towanda is accused of kicking a woman multiple times in the right side of her torso, police said.
The incident occurred on Aug. 4 at a location in Towanda Township, police said.
As a result of this incident, Lowman has been charged with simple assault and harassment, police said.
Lowman was arrested and arraigned by Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Aug. 5.
Lowman was then sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, police said.
Theft occurs in N. Towanda Twp.
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in Memorial Hospital's parking lot in North Towanda Township and stole a black Evenflow brand child safety seat, police said.
The vehicle belongs to 23-year-old Melody Lynn Phelan of Canton, police said.
The theft occurred sometime between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, state police said.
