Indecent assault reported
State police at Towanda said they are investigating an incident that took place July 15 in Canton Township in which a 3-year-old female was inappropriately touched by someone known to her.
Prisoner charged
State police at Towanda said Wayne Harold Blow, 58, of West Burlington Township, was charged with aggravated harassment by prisoner and harassment for an incident that took place at 12:30 p.m. July 27 at the Bradford County Correctional Facility in West Burlington Township.
Police said Blow spit in the face of a medical employee at the facility. According to police, the victim was a 60-year-old Towanda woman. The charges were filed against Blow through District Court 42-3-01.
Man charged for harassment
State police at Towanda said charges of harassment and criminal mischief have been filed against Duane L. Queen Jr., 19, of Columbia Township, for an incident that took place at 8 p.m. Aug. 8 on Buck Road in Columbia Township.
Police said Queen and a 60-year-old Columbia Township woman were arguing in their residence, and he pushed the woman twice, ripped her glasses off her face, and broke them.
Man faces hearing
Daniel Burton Jackson III, 40, of Rome, faces a preliminary hearing at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 3 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy for charges related to his attempted firearms purchase Feb. 15 at Up in Arms Shooting Supply in Smithfield Township, according to court papers.
The papers note that Jackson faces a third-degree felony charge of sale or transfer of firearms and unsworn falsification to authorities, a misdemeanor of the third degree.
In an affidavit, Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek said Jackson knowingly and intentionally made a material false written statement on a Firearms Transaction Record Part 1 Over-the-Counter Form, ATF 4473, concerning his prior conviction record in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
According to Jackson's official criminal record with the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Jackson pleaded guilty to the offenses of unlawful restraint, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and simple assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree, on or about Feb. 6, 1997, the affidavit notes. Also, according to Jackson's official criminal record with the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas, Jackson pleaded guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the second degree, on or about Dec. 4, 1998.
Man charged with criminal trespass
Ozzy Wilcox Overacker, 19, of Sayre, faces a preliminary hearing at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3 before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox of Troy on a charge of criminal trespass, according to court papers.
The papers note that Overacker entered a residence July 20 on Little York Road in Springfield Township, owned by Ricki King and rented by a tenant.
According to an affidavit, King, the landlord, said Overacker is her son, and they previously lived there. She said some of their belongings are still at the residence, and she has told Overacker he can retrieve his belongings, but he is not to go in the residence, without the tenants present. Overacker told police he has access to the residence, if the tenants are there or not, and said he retrieved only two footlockers from the residence.
Overacker was sent a summons by certified mail.
