Wyalusing Twp. bar cited for records violation
The Marie Antoinette bar, 72 Marie Antoinette Dr., Wyalusing Township has been cited for failure to keep records on the licensed premises, according to a press release that was issued this week by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement.
The violation occurred on July 7, according to the press release.
Man charged with aggravated assault in Towanda
A 50-year-old Connecticut man is accused of striking another male in the face with a pool cue in the bar at the Towanda Motel, 368 York Ave., Towanda, police said.
As a result of this incident, Brian T. Murphy has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment, police said.
The incident occurred at 11:48 p.m. on Tuesday, police said.
The victim, who suffered a cut above his right eye, was transported by ambulance to Memorial Hospital for treatment, police said.
Murphy, who lives on First Street in Bristol, Conn., was arraigned by Athens Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Wednesday.
Murphy was then released on non-monetary bail. He must attend a preliminary hearing on Aug. 27 in Towanda District Court.
DUIs
The following people were recently charged for driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
Heather Powell, 38, of Ulster, by the Towanda police, on Aug. 10, on Main Street in Towanda Borough. A test showed that Powell's blood alcohol content was .234 percent on the day of her arrest.
Julie Ann Hamilton, 25, of Monroeton, by the state police, on Nov. 29, 2013, on U.S. Route 220 in Towanda Township. A test revealed that Hamilton's blood alcohol content was .186 percent on the day of her arrest. Hamilton must face the DUI charge at a preliminary hearing on Sept. 26 in Towanda District Court.
