This week, the Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers program is asking for your help to bring closure to another credit card fraud case. At approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 19, an 89-year-old woman and her daughter were shopping at TJ Maxx, 4851 Commonwealth Center Parkway. During the shopping trip, the mother left her shopping cart for a moment to look at something with her daughter. Her purse was left in the cart, and when she returned to collect the cart, both the cart and the purse were gone. Less than 1 hour later, the victim discovered that two of her stolen credit cards were used at the Best Buy on Koger Center Boulevard. The purchases exceeded $7,600. Surveillance images from the Best Buy revealed a white male and a white female using the stolen cards. The white male suspect appeared to be between 25-35 years of age. He had short dark hair, sunglasses on his head, and was wearing a blue short-sleeve shirt with blue denim jeans. The female appeared to be in her 40s or 50s, with short hair pulled into a ponytail, sunglasses on her head, wearing a dark-colored blouse and pants. Pictures of both suspects can be seen on the "Crime of the Week" page of www.crimesolvers.net.
