Harassment and child endangerment charges
Corey J. Rote, 26, of Chemung, was arrested by the Waverly Police Department on Aug. 26, and charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child and second degree harassment. Rote is scheduled to appear in the Village of Waverly Court at 4 p.m. on Sept. 4.
Traffic stop results in felony DWI arrest
The Village of Waverly Police department arrested Charles R. Miner, 25, of Waverly, on Aug. 30, following a traffic stop on Clark Street. According to police, Miner was charged with felony DWI as well as felony aggravated DWI. He is scheduled to appear in the Village of Waverly Court at 4 p.m. on Sept. 11.
Unlicensed operator charged with DWI
Michael L. Engle, 30, of Waverly, was arrested on Aug. 31, following a traffic stop on Park Avenue in the Village of Waverly. Officers stopped Engle and subsequently charged him with misdemeanor DWI, failure to keep right, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and driving with .08 percent or more blood alcohol content. Engle is scheduled to appear in the Village of Waverly Court at 4 p.m. on Sept. 11.
Waverly police arrest fugitive after harassment call
Village of Waverly Police were called to Fulton Street on Aug. 31, to respond to a report of harassment. Upon arrival, officers arrested Justin M. Eccleston, 23, of Waverly, and he was charged with harassment in the second degree. Eccleston was discovered to have an active arrest warrant issued by the New York State Parole division. Eccelston was then escorted to the Tioga County jail with no bail.
