Man charged with trespassing
A Towanda man was recently charged with defiant trespassing by Sayre police.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Gerald Edmond Sutton, 47, was also charged with disorderly conduct.
Police said Sutton returned to Robert Packer Hospital July 18 after security staff asked him to leave the premises. Sutton had reportedly alarmed people on hospital property and in the surrounding area, police said.
Sutton was arraigned July 18 and remanded to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $5,000 bail. Sutton's preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 30.
Waverly man charged with possession
A Waverly man was recently arrested by Athens Borough police on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana.
According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Richard Allen Beavers, 29, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.
Police said Beavers was found to be in possession of marijuana and a glass pipe during investigation into a July 14 argument on Wells Avenue.
Beavers' preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 27.
