Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following people were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Jason Hieatt, 35, of Troy, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 12 days to one year and a fine of $100 for the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Peter Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hieatt following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township.

Bryon Bailey, 31, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for three misdemeanors on Sept. 15, 2014, as was previously reported. State Intermediate Punishment is a two year program. It begins with at least seven months of regular state prison, followed by custody in a drug/alcohol addiction center, followed by restricted living in a residential program. The prison administration must be satisfied that the prisoner has made progress in rehabilitation from substance abuse. If not, the prisoner will be dismissed from S.I.P. and resentenced. If the SIP program is completed, the prisoner will be on probation for two additional years and checked regularly for drug or alcohol use. If he/she violates during those two years, Probation will be revoked and if there is a violation more incarceration will be imposed.

William Wallace, 21, Elmira, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 25 days to 23 months and a fine of $1750 and restitution of $6731.95 followed by Probation for a term of one year, he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree and Reckless Endangering, also a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Wallace following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Borough.

Francis Northrup, 58, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 16 months and 90 days to 72 months and fine of $5000, he will also lose his driver's license for 48 months for the offenses of two counts of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, both misdemeanors of the first degree, and Driving under Suspension DUI related. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Northrup following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

William McClintic Jr., 21, Monroeton, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a sentence of County Intermediate Punishment to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility for 147 days to 11 months, 29 days, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police department arrested McClintic for the offense.

John Gundaker, 44, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 24 months to 60 months and fines of $1000, for the offense of Fleeing and Attempting to Elude Police Officers. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Gundaker for the offense in April 2014.

John Kern II, 20, Rome, Pa., was resentenced following revocation of a term of probation to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 10 months to 72 months and fines of $500 for the offense of Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree and Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kern following investigation of an incident that occurred in Rome Borough.

Anthony Fletcher, 21, Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, and restitution, for the offense of Possession of Marijuana. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Fletcher for the offense in May 2014.

Jody McDermott, 34, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $500 and Probation for a term of 12 months for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking. Officer Sean Flynn of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested McDermott for the offense in December 2013.

Jody McDermott, 34, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $750 and Probation for a term of 12 months for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McDermott for the offense in October 2013.

William Harris, 25, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for seven months to 36 months and fines of $500 for the offense of Criminal Trespass, a Felony of the third degree. Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Harris for the offense on April 14, 2014.

District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently pled guilty in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Joshua Cummiskey, 24, New Albany, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Cummiskey will be sentenced on Oct. 30, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Tereska of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Cummiskey following investigation of an incident that occurred in New Albany Borough.

Tracy Parkhurst, 26, Stevensville, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Parkhurst will be sentenced on Oct. 30, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Parkhurst following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Charles Makinster, 49, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor and will be sentenced on Oct. 30, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Edgerton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Makinster following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ridgebury Township.

William Hamilton, 32, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Fleeing and Eluding of Police Officer, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Hamilton will be sentenced on Oct. 27, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hamilton for the offense on July 9, 2014.

Tyrone Hartford, 19, Roaring Branch, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Fleeing and Eluding, a misdemeanor of the second degree, Recklessly Endangering another Person, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

Hartford will be sentenced on Oct. 30, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Hartford for the offense on June 22, 2014.

Bradford County District Attorney, Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following person(s) recently were accepted into the ARD Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Johnny Dority, 68, Wysox, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Dority will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Dority must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Trooper William McDermott of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Dority for the offense on March 28, 2014 in Wysox Township.

Eric Givens, 48, Dushore, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Givens will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Givens must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department filed the charges on June 8, 2014 for the offense in Towanda Borough.

Tracey Ludwig, 47, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Ludwig will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Ludwig must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on May 10, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Angelica Heeman, 23, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of endangering welfare of Children, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of six months. While on probation Heeman will be subject to supervision which will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Heeman must perform 20 hours of community service. Chief Christopher Hutchinson of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on May 14, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered pleas of guilty and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Candice Hercenberg, 29, New Albany, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Timothy Clark, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to a fine of $100, and court costs. Trooper Jeffery Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hercenberg for the offense on March 26, 2013, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Ulster Township.

David Daniels, 30, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Timothy Clark, to the offense of Driving under Suspension, DUI related, a summary, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 60 days and court costs. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Daniels for the offense on Sept. 17, 2014, following investigation of a Driving under Suspension that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Cerdan Holmes, 22, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Michael Shaw, to the offense of, False ID, to Law Enforcement, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to six days and court costs. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Holmes for the offense on Sept. 18, 2014, following investigation of a false ID charge that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Kodi Thomas, 28, Ridgway, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of, Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to 90 days and court costs.

Officer Andrew Stevens of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Thomas for the offense on Aug. 1, 2014, following investigation of a Disorderly Conduct that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Gregg Evans, 26, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 11 days and court costs. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Evans for the offense on July 13, 2014, following investigation of a possession of drug paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

Todd Cole, 36, E. Carbon, Utah, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 30 days and court costs.

Chief Daniel Reynolds of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Cole for the offense on Aug. 2, 2014, following investigation of a possession of marijuana that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Patrick Henderson, 23, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $200 and court costs. Officer Eric Keir of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Henderson for the offense on July 30, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Darren Ryan, 24, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to 11 days and court costs. Officer Jeremy Horton of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Ryan for the offense on Aug. 21, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Alisha Brown, 20, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $100, and court costs. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Brown for the offense on June 26, 2014, following investigation of a theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Dylan Brown, 21, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Receiving, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $100 and court costs.

Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Brown for the offense on June 26, 2014, following investigation of a theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Luke Womer, 22, Jersey Shore, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Furnishing Alcohol to Minors, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $1000 and court costs. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Womer for the offense on June 29, 2014, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Smithfield Township.

Daniel Jackson, 40, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Falsification to Authorities, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to court costs. Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police Department arrested Jackson for the offense, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Smithfield Township.

Joseph Dees, 26, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Timothy Clark, to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to $300.00 fine and court costs. Trooper Sean Cooney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Dees for the offense on Nov. 6, 2013.

Jared Parsons, 18, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Timothy Clark to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $50 and court costs. Officer John Hennessy of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Parsons for the offense on May 6, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Allen Lowman, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Timothy Clark of the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to $100 and court costs. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police Department arrested Lowman for the offense on Aug. 4, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Township.

Jane Kithcart, 27, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $50 and court costs. Trooper Peter Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kithcart for the offense on Aug. 22, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Monroeton Borough.

Richard Finnegan, 79, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark and was sentenced to eight days and court costs. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Finnegan for the offense on Sept. 2, 2014, following investigation of an obstruction that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Frederick Bombaci, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark, for the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to three days and court costs. Trooper Jeffrey Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bombaci for the offense on Aug. 30, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Township.

Heather Shaffer, 28, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $100 and court costs. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Shaffer for the offense on May 1, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

Timothy Zimmer, 21, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $300 and court costs. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Zimmer for the offense on July 30, 2014, following an investigation that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Christopher Priest, 35, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Michael Shaw, to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $300 and court costs. Officer Eric Keir of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Priest for the offense on July 18, 2014, following investigation of a disorderly conduct that occurred in Sayre Borough.

E. J. Stewart, 69, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark, for the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $75 and court costs.

Trooper Terence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Stewart for the offense on Sept. 3, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Township.

Jason Martinet, 37, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before district Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Harassment, summary, and was sentenced to a fine of $75 and court costs. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Martinet for the offense on May 30, 2014, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.
