Corruption of minors investigated
State police at Towanda said they are investigating several allegations of corruption of minors in Bradford County.
Police said they are investigating cases in which:
- the morals of a 17-year-old male were allegedly corrupted by a person known to him sometime between February 2013 and May this year in the Wyalusing area.
- an allegation was made that an adult male had consensual sexual contact with a 17-year-old female sometime between June 2008 and June 2009 in Springfield Township.
- an allegation was made that between April 2011 and April 2012 in Springfield Township, an adult male had consensual sexual contact with a 17-year-old female.
- an allegation was made that an adult male had consensual sexual contact with a 17-year-old female sometime between June 2009 and June 2010 in Troy Township.
- an allegation was made that an adult male had consensual sexual contact with a 15-16-year-old female sometime between 2008 and 2009 in Troy Township.
Police said their investigations into the matters are ongoing.
Vehicle taken
State police at Towanda said a vehicle was taken sometime between 8 p.m. and 11:24 p.m. Sept. 26 from property on Austinville Road in Columbia Township.
According to police, the vehicle was taken from Wayne Russell Chandler's son's property. The elder Chandler is 50 years old from Waverly, N.Y., police said.
Police said during the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle was involved in a single-car hit and run crash, which disabled the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to contact state police at Towanda.
Man charged
Brandon Roberts, 29, of Waverly, N.Y. who was an inmate at the Bradford County Jail, was charged at approximately 3 p.m. Sept. 23 as a fugitive from justice after it was discovered he had an active warrant from the Waverly, N.Y. Police Department, said state police at Towanda.
Police said Roberts was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw and remanded to jail, in lieu of bail.
Trail cameras taken
State police at Towanda said someone took two black trail cameras belonging to Jamie Lynn Terry, 34, of Bloomsburg, sometime between 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 from a location on Garrison Road in Wells Township.

PFA violation reported
State police at Towanda said a PFA violation occurred at 4:20 p.m. Sept. 29 in the 2000 block of Austinville Road in Columbia Township.
Police said Tyler Flanagan, 19, no address given, entered the residence of a 64-year-old woman, knowing he had a PFA order against him. Police said he was taken into custody, without incident.
Chainsaws taken
State police at Towanda said someone stole/removed two chainsaws belonging to Bryan's Meat Cutting sometime between 8 a.m. Sept. 26 and 7:05 p.m. Sept. 28 on Springfield Road in Smithfield Township and fled the scene in an unknown direction.
