Hopewell Crime for July 21

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 11:50 p.m. July 11, police responded to the headquarters for a reported shooting that had occurred in the 500 block of Lancaster Court. Known offender shot at victim, hitting vehicle and was arrested.

- Assault-Aggravated: At 4:38 a.m. July 13, police responded to the 1600 block of Freeman Street for reported shots fired. During argument, two subjects shot at each other, one subject was hit, as well as an unrelated victim.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Commercial: At 5 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 900 block of E. Randolph Road for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered business via side door and by removing door class and stole tools and a/c unit.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Commercial: At 3:30 p.m. July 11, police responded to the 900 block of E. Randolph Road regarding a burglary. Unknown offender entered business by breaking window and stole tools, plasma cutter, welder and grinders.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 10:10 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 3400 block of Courthouse Road for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by forcing window and stole tablet computer and cash.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 12 p.m. July 11, police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Maclin Circle for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via rear door and stole copper tubing and a/c unit.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 5 p.m. July 11, police responded to the 1200 block of City Point Road for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence via unlocked window and stole game system and laptop.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 11 a.m. July 14, police responded to the 3300 block of Courthouse Road for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by prying rear door and stole TVs, laptop, I-Pod, tablet computer, jewelry, E-Reader and coins.

- Homicide-Murder/Non-Negligent: At 7:58 a.m. July 8, police responded to the 2900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported disturbance. Known offender shot and killed victim. Shots were fired at other victims, none hit. Offender arrested.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 12 p.m. July 12, police responded to the headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 500 block of N. 5th Ave. Unknown offender stole vehicle tags.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 10:41 a.m. July 10, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 1200 block of Liberty Ave. Known offender stole and cashed paycheck.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 100 block of N. 14th Avenue for a reported larceny. Known offenders were caught attempting to steal a motor scooter, which was recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 100 block of N. 14th Avenue for a reported larceny. Known offenders were seen stealing a bicycle which was later recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 5:10 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 2000 block of Dolin Street for a reported larceny. Known offender stole a bicycle which was later recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 6:49 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 2600 block of Wise Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole wallet, which was recovered missing medication.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 7:40 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 1700 block of Tabb Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole puppy from fenced yard.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12 a.m. July 13, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole bicycle.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 6:50 p.m. July 11, police responded to the 700 block of S. 6th Avenue for reported found property. Known offender left wallet at business after attempting to steal clothing and personal items and was arrested.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: at 7 p.m. July 8, police responded to the 2300 block of Atlantic Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole safe containing cash, IDs and debit cards from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 p.m. July 8, police responded to the 1500 block of Piper Square Drive for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole game system and games from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12:07 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 1700 block of Dinwiddie Avenue for a reported larceny. Known offender stole two firearms from residence and was arrested. One firearm recovered.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 4 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 300 block of Brown Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole game system, controllers and games from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12:25 a.m. July 10, police responded to the 1500 block of Roanoke Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole a firearm from a residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 1500 block of Lincoln Place for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole copper piping from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 12 p.m. July 10, police responded to the headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 2700 block of Oaklawn Blvd. Unknown offender stole dealer tags from business.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 4 p.m. July 11, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 1800 block of Freeman St. Unknown offender stole checkbook and forged and cashed multiple checks.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 1 p.m. July 9, police responded to the 400 block of N . 9th Avenue in regards to a larceny. Unknown offender entered unlocked vehicle and stole wallet containing cash.

- Larceny-Theft From Motor Vehicle: At 4:15 p.m. July 14, police responded to the 100 block of Cavalier Square for a reported larceny. Known offender was observed stealing vehicle tag decals and was arrested.

- Possession of Marijuana: At 7:01 p.m. July 14, police responded to the 3500 block of Granby Street for a reported accident. Driver was found to be in intoxicated and in possession of marijuana and was arrested.

- Robbery/Commerical: At 4:54 a.m. July 13, police responded to the 3500 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported robbery. Unknown offender forced entry to business, brandished firearm, stole cash and fled.

- Robbery/Individual: At 9:30 p.m. July 11, police responded to the area of Bolling Drive and Jamestown Drive for a reported robbery that occurred in the 500 block of Cabin Creek Drive. Unknown offenders brandished firearm, assaulted victim and stole vehicle containing cell phones and possibly cash. Vehicle later recovered, damaged.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 7:30 p.m. July 11, police responded to the 200 block of Byrd Street for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle windows.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 8 a.m. July 14, police responded to the 400 block of Westhill Road for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke school window pane.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 10:30 p.m. July 14, police were called to the 400 block of St. Mesa Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke school windows.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 3:52 a.m. July 9, police responded to the 200 block of W. Poythress Street for a reported weapon law offense. Unknown offender shot at occupied residence. No injuries.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 1:30 a.m. July 9, police responded to the 3900 block of Grovewood Road for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender shot residence and vehicle. No injuries.
