Bradford County Court News 11/2/2014

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Jessica Lynn Kepner, 28, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $200 and probation for a term of nine months for the offense of Retail Theft, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Officer Daniel Thomas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Kepner for the offense in June.

Brian Hanna, 38, Montoursville, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 10 days to six months, and fines, costs, and restitution of $300, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hanna for the offense in March 2013.

Daniel Stroud, 33, Towanda, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 10 days to 12 months and fines, costs, restitution of $150, for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police arrested Stroud for the offense in August 2013.

Francis Klinger, 26, Athens, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 35 days to six months and fines, costs, restitution of $300 for the offense of Simple Assault.

Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police arrested Klinger for the offense in April 2013.

Kenneth C. Ball, 33, formerly of Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for two days and a fine of $750; he will also lose his driver's license for 12 months and comply with other conditions of the sentence, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol.

Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Ball for the offense in November 2012.

Thomas B. Lee, 46, Troy, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 15 days, electronic monitoring for 75 days, fines, costs of $1,500, Probation for a term of one year as a part of a program of County Intermediate Punishment, he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, second offense. Officer Quentin Reinford of the Troy Police Department arrested Lee for the offense in May.

Steven T. Potter, 19, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months for the offense of Corruption of Minors, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Potter following investigation of an incident that occurred in Asylum Township.

William Hamilton, 33, of Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to fines of $700 and one year of Probation, he will lose his driver's license for 12 months for the offense of Fleeing and Eluding. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hamilton for the offense in July.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

George Dickson, 42, Grover, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Dickson will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Dickson for the offense for the offense in May.

Travis Ott, 38, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Ott will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Ott for the offense in July.

Amea Renzo, 33, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver, (hydrocodone), a felony. Renzo will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer John Hennessey of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Renzo for the offense in December 2013.

Amea Renzo, 33, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver, (hydrocodone), and Possession with Intent to Deliver, both felonies. Renzo will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Adams of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Renzo following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Kristopher A. Reeves, 29, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (marijuana), a felony. Reeves will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Hutchinson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Reeves following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Jeffrey Jackson, 28, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Open Lewdness, a misdemeanor of the third degree and Indecent Exposure, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Jackson will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jackson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Borough at the Bradford County Correctional Facility.

Kenneth C. Ball, 33, formerly of Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Ball had been placed in the diversionary ARD program but failed to complete the program, resulting in revocation and trial. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Ball following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.

Larry Dale Harbst, 34, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of Bath Salts.

Harbst will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Hutchinson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Harbst following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.

Larry Dale Harbst, 34, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of Heroin, a felony.

Harbst will be sentenced on Dec. 15, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Adams of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Harbst following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township.

Tina Luckman, 42, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance (bath salts and Methamphetamine). Luckman will be sentenced on Dec. 11, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Timothy Cahill of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Luckman for the offense in July.

Bryan Dodge, 25, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Dodge will be sentenced on Dec. 11, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Chief Doug Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Dodge for the offense in May 2014.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Brock Bezick, 22, Athens, Pa., charged with Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on Probation, Bezick will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Bezick must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges in May 2014, for the offense in Athens Borough.

Katie Waite, 24, Gillett, Pa., charged with the offense of Simple Assault, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on Probation, Waite will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use.

Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Waite for the offense.
