Towanda man charged in knife attack

Marc A. Cabucci, 43, of Towanda has been charged by Towanda Police with simple assault and harassment relating to a April 20 incident on Second Street.

According to police, Cabucci attacked Edward Rakowski with a knife in Rakowski's apartment after accusing him of stealing jewelry. Police said that Rakowski's injuries consisted of small, superficial cuts and a swollen eye from being struck by Cabucci.

Rakowski was transported to Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle for treatment.

Wyalusing man charged with resisting arrest

Daniel Michael Taylor, 21, of Quicks Bend has been charged with resisting arrest, harassment and criminal mischief relating to a May 17 incident in Wyalusing Borough.

According to reports, Taylor was involved in an altercation with authorities while being transported to the Laceyville police station from Wyalusing for a reason not listed in the incident affidavit. Police said Taylor was uncooperative, destructive and continually resisted arrest throughout the transport and that backup had to be called to restrain him.

Domestic dispute turns violent in Rome

Dana Edward Martin, of Rome has been charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment for an incident that occurred on May 11 on Crimson Maple Drive in Rome Borough.

According to police, Martin was involved in a verbal argument with his ex-girlfriend that unexpectedly turned physical. According to Martin's ex-girlfriend, Martin pushed her to the floor and began choking her while telling her to die.

Police said the women had several red marks on the right side of her neck, abrasions to the back of her neck and right forearm and a bruise to her ankle.
