Criminal mischief reported

Between Sept. 24-25, at a location on Litchfield Road in Litchfield Township, an unknown person or persons caused damage to the property by driving a vehicle through the victim's property, spinning their tires. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Metal stolen

Between Oct. 25 and Nov. 15, an unknown person or persons removed approximately 30 feet of copper tubing that ran from the gas tank on the property to the foundation of the residence, located on Ford Lane in Smithfield Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Trash dumped on property

An incident occurred between Nov. 12-14 on Sheshequin Road in Sheshequin Township as an unknown person or persons improperly disposed of their trash on the property of a resident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda at (570) 265-2186.

Access device fraud occurs

On Nov. 14, a victim residing on Crow Hill Road in Wyalusing Township reported to Pennsylvania State Police that an unknown person had hacked in to the victim's banking information, changed passwords and preferences and scheduled a $1,000 withdrawal to occur on a future date. The victim was notified of the changes and cancelled the withdrawal. The incident is currently under investigation.

Eggs thrown at home

An incident occurred on Nov. 17 at a residence on Laurel Hill Road in Ulster Township. The victim reported to Pennsylvania State Police that she was watching television in her living room when she heard something hit the siding of her house. The victim went outside and discovered eggs on her siding the following morning. The investigation of this incident is ongoing.

DUI charges

The following people were recently charged in Bradford County with driving while under the influence:

Wesley Aaron Gandy, 30, of Neeley, Miss., has also been charged by state police with driving on the wrong side of the road; and careless driving. Gandy was taken into custody following a traffic stop conducted by state police on U.S. Route 6 on Nov. 2 around 12:06 a.m. in Towanda Borough. Following his arrest, Gandy was transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda, where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Gandy's blood alcohol content was .188 percent on the day of his arrest. Gandy has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Sept. 19.

Tia-Jo Marie Evans, 33, of Towanda, has also been charged by state police with possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; driving on the wrong side of the road; and careless driving. Evans was transported to the hospital following a one-vehicle crash that occurred on June 6 around 6:39 p.m. at the intersection of Liberty Corners Road and Tip Top Road in Towanda Township. While at the scene, police continued, they detected a strong odor of alcohol on her person, and also discovered drug paraphernalia inside her vehicle. Following their investigation, police said, they went to the hospital where Evans had been transported, and asked if she would submit to a blood test, which she refused to do.

Evans has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Dec. 19.

Timothy Lee Hamm, 20, of Towanda, has also been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and restriction on alcoholic beverages. Hamm was taken into custody by the state police after they responded to Grange Range in Franklin Township on Oct. 18 for a report of an unresponsive male in a vehicle. During their investigation, police reported, they observed several open cans of Keystone beer in the vehicle, as well as a glass smoking device and a wrapper containing suspected marijuana. Hamm was later transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda, where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Hamm's blood alcohol content was .242 percent on the day of his arrest. Hamm has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Dec. 19.

John Anton Petro, 62, of Monroeton, has also been charged by state police with driving on the wrong side of the road; and careless driving. Petro was taken into custody following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 220 in Ulster Township on July 1 around 2:53 p.m. Petro was transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Petro was under the influence of a number of substances which made him incapable of operating a vehicle safely, according to the report. Petro has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Dec. 17.

Drake Pressley Grant, 24, of Towanda was cited by state police for the above offense on Oct. 31. Around 7:25 a.m. on that date, police reported investigating a black pickup truck at the Dandy Mini Mart in New Albany which had parked in front of the gas pumps, blocking them in the process. When they arrived, police said, they discovered Grant unconscious in the vehicle, with an unopened can of beer in the cup holder. Grant was eventually taken into custody and transported to Memorial Hospital where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Grant's blood alcohol content was .23 percent on the day of his arrest. Grant has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Dec. 19.

Shelby Kae Bennett, 21, of Monroeton, has also been charged by state police with failure to possess a driver's license while operating a motor vehicle; driving on the wrong side of the road; crossing the center line of traffic; and careless driving. Police reported that Bennett was taken into custody following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 220 in Monroe Township on Nov. 8 around 2:40 a.m. Police said Bennett was transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda where she agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Bennett's blood alcohol content was .21 percent on the day of her arrest. Bennett has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Jan. 2.

Daniel James Leljedal, 18, of Towanda, has also been charged by state police with underage drinking; driving on the wrong side of the road; and a "minor prohibited from operating with any alcohol in system." Police reported investigating a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Manahan Road in Franklin Township on Sept. 20 around 9:30 a.m. While interviewing Leljedal, they detected a strong odor of alcohol on his person and took him into custody. Leljedal was transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Leljedal's blood alcohol content was .142 percent on the day of his arrest. Leljedal has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Jan. 2.

Millard John Decker III, 37, of Ulster, has also been charged by state police with driving on the wrong side of the road; careless driving; and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle without giving proper notice to the authorities. Police said they investigated a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Ghent Hill Road, about two miles east of the Ulster Bridge in Sheshequin Township on Oct. 6 around 11:32 p.m. Police interviewed Decker who was identified as the driver of the vehicle, and eventually taken into custody. Decker was transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda, where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Decker's blood alcohol content was .258 percent on the day of his arrest. Decker has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Dec. 19.

John Louis Copek, 50, of Towanda, has also been charged by state police with failure to notify the Department of Motor Vehicles of a change of address; and exceeding the maximum speed limit. Copek was taken into custody following a traffic stop conducted by the state police on Oct. 19 around 8:34 p.m. on U.S. Route 220 near Patterson Boulevard in North Towanda Township. Copek was transported to Memorial Hospital in Towanda where he agreed to submit to a blood test. The test eventually revealed that Copek's blood alcohol content was .131 percent on the day of his arrest. Copek has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Dec. 19.
