Bradford County Court News 12/14/2014

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett, reported that the following person(s) were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Ronald Yorgey, 43, Wysox, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days, County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months; county Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include home confinement, electronic monitor and substance abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration. Also fines, costs, restitution of $1,500, he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Robert Edgerton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Yorgey following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

David Watkins, 25, Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 45 days; County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months; county Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include home confinement, electronic monitor and substance abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration. Also fines, costs, restitution of $1,500, he will also lose his driver's license for 18 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Watkins for the offense following an investigation of an incident that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Kyle Chapman, 25, of Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $100, for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a summary offense. Sergeant James Shaw of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Chapman for the offense on April 10, 2014.

Timothy Blood, 43, of Wyalusing, Pa., was resentenced following fines, costs and restitution to imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 12 months to 36 months and a fine of $1,000, he will also lose his driver's license for six months for the offense of Manufacture of a Controlled Substance, a felony and three counts of Unlawful Killing of Big Game, a misdemeanor of the first degree and two misdemeanors.

Robert McGrath, 34, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility from six hours to 12 months, and fines, costs, restitution of $500, for the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and Public Drunkenness, a summary offense. Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested McGrath for the offense on June 28, 2014.

William Lafritz, 44, Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months and fines, costs, restitution of $250, for the offense of Unsworn Falsification, a misdemeanor of the third degree.

Trooper Jeffery Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Lafritz following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ridgebury Township on Jan. 30, 2014.

Lindsey Hart, 26, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., was sentenced to a fine of $200.00 and restitution of $1,157.31, Hart was resentenced to the Bradford County Correctional Facility for three months to 12 months, for the offense of Access Device Fraud, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hart following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Steven Nemeth, 45, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to fines of $300 and buy money of $250, Nemeth was also resentenced to four days to 12 months in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for the offense of Conspiracy/Possession of a Controlled Substance. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Nemeth following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Richard Frankenfield, 56, Albany Township, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Reckless Endangering another Person, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Frankenfield will be sentenced on Jan. 22, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation department. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Frankenfield following investigation of an incident that occurred in Albany Township.

Skylar Smith, 23, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Obstruction of Administration of Law or other Governmental Functions, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Smith will be sentenced on Jan. 26, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Smith following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.

Colleen Brassfield, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Felony. Brassfield will be sentenced on Jan. 22, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Brassfield following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

James Winterringer, 25, Wysox, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Winterringer will be sentenced on Jan. 22, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Edgerton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Winterringer following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Charles Saxon, 48, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Saxon will be sentenced on Jan. 22, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Saxon following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Nicholas Hughes, 22, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a felony and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Hughes will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Hughes following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township on Sept. 12, 2013.

Thomas Decker, 52, Ulster, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Decker will be sentenced on Jan. 26, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Jeffrey Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Decker following investigation of an incident that occurred in Smithfield Township on Aug. 25, 2014.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reports that the following person(s) recently were accepted into the ARD Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Joshua Hoey, 18, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Theft from a Motor Vehicle, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Hoey will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use.

Additionally, Hoey must perform 40 hours of community service and pay restitution as ordered. Officer Derek Watkins of the Sayre Borough Police Department filed the charges on Sept. 1, 2014 for the offense in Sayre Borough.

Michael Nichols, 45, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Simple Assault, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 24 months. While on probation Nichols will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use.

Additionally, Nichols must perform 60 hours of community service. Officer Nikki Hoffman of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on Sept. 17, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Michael Micklas, 28, Rome, Pa., charged with the offense of Firearm not to be Carried without License, was accepted into the ARD Program and place on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Micklas will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Micklas must perform 40 hours of community service. Deputy Patrick Butkiewicz of the Bradford County Sheriff's Department filed the charges on Aug. 14, 2014 for the offense in Litchfield Township.

Cody Wesneski, 22, Canton, Pa., charged with the offense of Theft, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Wesneski will be subject to supervision be the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Wesneski must perform 40 hours of community service and pay restitution that was ordered by the court. Trooper Christopher Schelling of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Wesneski for the offense on Aug. 18, 2014 in Canton Borough.

Haley Edsell, 18, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of Theft, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Edsell will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Edsell must perform 40 hours of community service and pay court ordered restitution. Trooper Steve Steransky of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Edsell for the offense on May 13, 2014 for the offense in Orwell Township.

Steven Wheeler, 49, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Wheeler will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Wheeler must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department filed the charges on Aug. 30, 2014 for the offense in Athens Borough.

Charles Heasley, 35, Gillett, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Heasley will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Heasley must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heasley for the offense. Charges were filed on Aug. 3, 2014, for the offense in South Creek Township.

Joshua Rundell, 34, Rome, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Rundell will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Rundell must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Rundell for the offense. Charges were filed on May 24, 2014 for the offense in Herrick Township.

Julie Hamilton, 25, Monroeton, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Hamilton will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Hamilton must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and Hamilton will lose Pennsylvania driving privileges for 60 days. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hamilton for the offense on Nov. 29, 2013 for the offense in Towanda Township.
