Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Candice Hercenberg, 28, New Albany, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Hercenberg will be sentenced on June 17, 2013, following the preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hercenberg for the offense in November 2011 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Rome Township.

Ashley Bennett, 21, Canton, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking. Bennett will be sentenced on May 9, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Mislevy of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bennett for the offense in August 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township.

Robert Nemeth, 49, Wyalusing, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Without a Valid License. Nemeth will be sentenced on May 9, 2013, following preparation of a presentencing report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper George Layou of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Nemeth for the offense in December 2012, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing.

Arthur L. Barrett, 46, Columbia Cross Roads, PA, entered pleas of guilty to three counts of the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Barrett will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Deputy Donald Stringham of the Bradford County Sheriff's Office and an agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Barrett for the offenses in November 2012 and March 2013, respectively, following investigation of incidents that occurred in Franklin Township and Towanda Borough.

John Lochner, 31, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Resisting Arrest, misdemeanor of the second degree. Lochner will be sentenced on May 9, 2013, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Lochner for the offense in February 2013 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Fred Arey, 39, Wyalusing, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Arey will be sentenced on May 9, 2013, following the preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Thompson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Arey for the offense in December 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Todd Belles, 23, Sayre, PA, entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Receiving Stolen Property and two counts of Theft From a Motor Vehicle. Belles will be sentenced on July 1, 2013, following the preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Timothy Cahill and Corporal Steven Burlingame of the Athens Borough and Sayre Borough Police Departments, respectively, arrested Belles for the offenses in November 2012.

Cynthia Hammel, 39, Towanda, PA, entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Hammel will be sentenced on June 17, 2013, following the preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Hammel for the offense in April 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda, Pa.

Arthur Brimmer, 32, Gillett, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in Bradford County Correctional Facility of from three months to 23 months and a fine of $150 for the offense of Retail Theft. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Brimmer for the offense in September 2012.

Michael Hill, 47, Wellsburg, NY, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from seven months to 23 months for the offense of Simple Assault. Sergeant Steven Burlingame of the Sayre Borough Police arrested Horton for the offense in November 2012.

Fred Arey, 39, Wyalusing, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of six months, and a fine of $300.00, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months because he refused to submit to blood testing at the time of his arrest. Trooper Joshua Thompson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Arey for the offense in December 2012 after an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Borough.

Julius King, III, 41, Towanda, PA, was resentenced, following revocation of his original sentence of probation, to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional for a term of from seven months to 23 months for the offense of Simple Assault. King was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $218. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens

Borough Police Department arrested King for the offense in June 2009.

Sean Seifert, 49, Winnemucca, Nevada, was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 100 days to 23 months, and fines totaling $1,800, for the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Unlicensed Carrying of a Concealed Firearm. Officer Richard Horton of the Athens Township Police arrested Seifert for the offenses.

Arthur Barrett, 46, Columbia Cross Roads, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from one month to 11 months to be followed by probation for a term of 12 months, for two counts of the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. An agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit and Deputy Donald Stringham of the Bradford County Sheriff's Department, respectively, arrested Barrett for the offenses in November 2012 and March John Lochner, 31, Towanda, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of one year, and a fine of $150.00, for the offense of Resisting Arrest. Officer Bryan Bellows of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Lochner for the offense in February.

Edward D. Fulford, 28, Troy, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from 15 days to12 months for the offense of Receiving Stolen Property. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Fulford for the offense in April 2011 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Granville Township.

Brian Edsell, 33, Towanda, PA, was resentenced, following revocation of his original sentence of probation for violation of probation conditions, to a total term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from nine months to 54 months for the offenses of Possession of Liquid Ammonia, Criminal Trespass, and Tampering with Evidence. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Edsell for the offense in December 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.

Ronald McClure, 24, Ithaca, NY, was resentenced, following revocation of his original sentence of probation for violation of probation conditions, to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of from 45 days to 18 months, and a fine of $500.00, for the Offense of Retail Theft. McClure was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $150.00. Trooper David Pelachick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McClure for the offense in 2011 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wells Township.

Ashley Bennett, 21, Canton, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of one year, and a fine of $75.00, for the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking. Bennett was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $200.00. Trooper Michael Mislevy of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bennett for the offense in August 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township.

Keith Kissell, 27, Wysox, PA, was sentenced to probation for a term of six months, and a fine of $300.00, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Corporal Norman Strauss of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kissell for the offense in August 2011 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Lucas McCoy, 25, Canton, PA, was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility of from 10 months to three years, and a fine of $500.00, for the offense of Criminal Trespass. McCoy was also ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $398.00. Officer Steven Vanderpool of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested McCoy for the offense in November 2011 after an incident in Canton Robert Nemeth, 49, Wyalusing, PA, was ordered to pay a fine of $200.00, for the offense of Driving Without a Valid License, a summary violation; Nemeth will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 6 months. Trooper George Layou of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Nemeth for the offense in December 2012 following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons were recently accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda

Charles Kenyon, 56, Towanda, PA, charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by Sergeant Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on Probation, Kenyon will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Kenyon must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement, and he will lose his

Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days.

Paul Nuhfer, Jr., 25, Waverly, NY, charged with Disorderly Conduct by Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of six months. While on Probation, Nuhfer will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Nuhfer must perform 40 hours of community service as a condition of ARD placement.
