Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following recent Bradford County criminal case resolutions:

Magisterial District Court

Shelby Nonnemacher, 33, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was sentenced to seven days and court costs. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Nonnemacher for the offense on July 18, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Wilmer Diaz Guzman, 19, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense, Criminal Trespass, a summary offense and Disorderly Conduct, also a summary offense, and was sentenced to 15 days plus fines and court costs. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Guzman for the offense on Dec. 28, 2014, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Thomas Mosier, entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of False Reports, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $300, and court costs. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Mosier for the offense on Aug. 6, 2014, following investigation of a False Report that occurred in Athens Borough.

Brandon Wright, 29, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 90 days, and court costs.

Sergeant Keith Stackhouse of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Wright for the offense on Nov. 17, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

David McGuire, 33, Lowman, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense and was sentenced to 13 days and court costs. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McGuire for the offense on Nov. 11, 2014, following investigation of a retail theft that occurred in Athens Township.

Jakayo Frye, 23, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $100, and court costs.

Trooper Michael O'Boyle of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Frye for the offense on Nov. 12, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Paraphernalia that occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Shy-Ann Hills, 18, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $100, and court costs.

Trooper Michael O'Boyle of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Frye for the offense on Nov. 12, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Paraphernalia that occurred in Sheshequin Township.

Otto Miller, 45, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to 15 days and court costs.

Officer James Condusta of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Miller for the offense on Nov. 7, 2014, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Borough.

Sara Pertnoy, 28, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 15 days (suspended), and court costs. Sergeant Keith Stackhouse of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Pertnoy for the offense on Nov. 17, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Athens Township.

Poppy Rae Hunsinger, 22, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Retail Theft, a summary offense and was sentenced to fines and costs of $300. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Hunsinger for the offense on Nov. 15, 2014, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township.

Jeffrey Alan Roberts, 26, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to eight days in the Bradford County Correctional Facility, and court costs. Trooper Jeffrey Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Roberts for the offense, following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township.

District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported the following recent criminal case resolutions in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

SENTENCED

Robert Fansler, 51, Wyalusing, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility from six months to 60 months, fines, costs, restitution of $1,500, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper John Kern of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Fansler following investigation of an incident that occurred in Albany Township.

Robert Fansler, 51, Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for 95 days to 60 months, fines, costs and restitution ordered, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper George Layou of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Fansler following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Township.

Brian Lichtwald, 54, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of six months, fines, costs, restitution of $300, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Lichtwald for the offense in September 2014.

Alicia Pedro, 35, Mildred, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of five years, $1,000 fines, plus costs and restitution, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Christopher Schelling of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Pedro following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Christopher Heasley, 25, Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a flat seven day sentence, Probation supervision for a term of 24 months, fines, costs, restitution of $350.00, plus $50, for the offense of Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor of the second degree and Public Drunkenness, a summary offense. Trooper Kyle Gruber of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heasley following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township.

Ralph Lane, 56, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for 24 months; State Intermediate Punishment is a two year program. It begins with at least seven months of regular State Prison, followed by custody in a drug/alcohol addiction center, followed by restricted living in a residential program. The prison administration must be satisfied that the prisoner has made progress in rehabilitation from substance abuse. If not, the prisoner will be dismissed from S.I.P. and resentenced. If the SIP program is completed, the prisoner will be under probation supervision for two additional years and checked regularly for drug or alcohol use. If he/she violated during those two years, probation will be revoked and if there is a violation more incarceration will be imposed. There will be fines, costs, restitution of $2,500, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Lane following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroeton Township.

Martin Rockwell, 23, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to Probation for a term of 12 months; fines, costs, restitution of $500, for the offense of Theft by Deception, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Rockwell for the offense in July 2014.

Martin Rockwell, 23, of Canton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of Probation for a term of six months; fines, costs, restitution of $150, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Officer Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Rockwell for the offense in July 2014.

Richard Johnson, 28, of Towanda, Pa. was sentenced to a term of Probation supervision for a term of 12 months; fines, costs, restitution of $350.00, for the offense of False Reports to Law Enforcement, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Monroe Township.

Jamie Terry, 36, of Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to fines, costs, restitution of $150, for the offense of Harassment, a summary offense. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Terry following investigation of an incident that occurred in Gillett Township.

Timothy Hoose, 46, of Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to a term of Probation supervision for a term of 12 months; fines of $1,000, restitution of $39,450.72, for the offense of Theft by Deception, a felony of the third degree.

Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hoose following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township.

Robert Hurlburt, 35, of Canton, Pa., was sentenced to a term of Probation supervision for a term of six months; fines, costs, restitution of $300, for the offense of Indirect Criminal Contempt. Trooper Joshua Thompson of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hurlburt following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township.

George Dunn, 31, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of Probation supervision for a term of 24 months; fines and costs of $500, plus $13.78 restitution, for the offense of Identity Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Jeffrey Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Dunn following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township.

Corey Briggs, 28, Gillett, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 61 days to 23 months, 29 days, fines, costs, restitution of $500, for the offense of Firearm not to be Carried W/O a License, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Roger Clink of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Briggs for the offense in June 2013.

GUILTY PLEAS

Jason Hieatt, 35, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Hieatt will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Keith Roman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hieatt following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township.

Jason Hieatt, 35, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Hieatt will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Keith Roman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hieatt following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township.

Jeremy Adkins, 35, Lindsay, Okla., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Adkins will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Corporal Norman Strauss of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Adkins following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Jeremy Adkins, 35, Lindsay, Okla., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Adkins will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Adkins for the offense in October 2010.

Robert Carlton, 33, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Carlton will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Carlton for the offense in July 2014.

Melanie McGuire, 48, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. McGuire will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Roger Clink of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McGuire for the offense in September 2013.

Ryan Putnam, 30, Granville Summit, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Putnam will be sentenced on Feb. 9, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper William McDermott of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Putnam following investigation of an incident that occurred in Granville Township.

Ike Allen, 24, Granville Summit, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Allen will be sentenced on Aug. 28, 2014, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Allen for the offense in September 2014.

Brian Lichtwald, 54, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Lichtwald for the offense in September 2014.

Curtis Singerhoff, 25, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Singerhoff for the offense in May 2014.

Curtis Singerhoff, 25, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper Kyle Gruber of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Singerhoff following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Township.

Mark Leonard, 58, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Obstructing Administration.

Leonard will be sentenced on Feb. 5, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Sean Cooney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Leonard following investigation of an incident that occurred in Bradford County.

Crystal A. Hubbard, 30, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor and reckless Endangering another Person. Hubbard will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Peter Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hubbard following investigation of an incident that occurred in Franklin Township.

Brittany Heverly, 23, Gillett, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Assault, two counts and Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Heverly will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Keith Roman and Trooper Michael Tribendis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heverly following investigation of an incident that occurred in South Creek Township.

Ashley Kirk, 20, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Accident Involving Property Damage (hit and run), a misdemeanor of the third degree. Kirk will be sentenced, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Kirk for the offense.

PLACEMENT IN THE ACCELERATED REHABILITATIVE DISPOSITION (ARD) PROGRAM

Jeremiah Scrivener, 37, Ulster, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Scrivener will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Scrivener must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel. Trooper William McDermott of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Scrivener for the offense.

Brandon Carr, 25, New Albany, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Carr will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Carr must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department filed the charges in September 2014 for the offense in Towanda Borough.

Gregory Schworles, 37, Harlan, Ky., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Schworles will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Schworles must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Officer Cory McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department filed the charges in October 2014 for the offense in Towanda Borough.

Eric Griffith, 25, New Albany, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Griffith will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Griffith must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.

Trooper Robert Edgerton of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Griffith for the offense.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following person(s) recently entered a plea of Nolo Contendere in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Darrell Mosier, 26, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Mosier will be sentenced following a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced. Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Mosier following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Eugene Howard Moore, 54, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Terroristic Threats, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Unlawful Restraint, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Resisting Arrest, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Moore will be sentenced following a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Moore following investigation of an incident that occurred in Pike Township.

Donald L. Seeley, 59, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to Indecent Assault of a Child, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Seeley will be sentenced on March 5, 2015, following a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Seeley following investigation of an incident that occurred in Springfield Township.
