Vehicle stolen in Towanda

A 1998 silver BMW sedan was stolen in front of the Bradford County courthouse on Main Street in Towanda, police said.

The theft occurred between 1:50 p.m. and 2:55 p.m. on July 18, Towanda police said.

The vehicle was discovered at a later date in the area of Coaches Pizza in Waverly, N.Y., police said.

Vehicle rolls over in Cherry Twp.

No one was injured in a recent motor vehicle accident in Cherry Township, Sullivan County, police said.

The accident occurred at 1:33 a.m. on July 23 as 38-year-old Jeffrey M. Collingwood of Morganton, N.C., was driving north on U.S. Route 220, police said.

Collingwood lost control of his 2004 Ford F-350 on a left curve, state police said.

The vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway, struck an embankment, rolled over, and came to rest on its roof, state police at Laporte said.

The accident occurred 1,115 feet north of Shinerville Road, police said.

Theft occurs in Dushore

Some money was recently stolen out of a vehicle while it was parked in Dushore, police said.

The vehicle belongs to Erik Bryde of Dushore, state police said.

The theft occurred between noon on July 19 and 5:30 p.m. on July 20 in an alley west of Center Street, police said.

Burglary occurs in Laporte Twp.

A burglary has occurred at a residence at 17052 Route 42 in Laporte Township, Sullivan County, police said.

The residence is owned by Joseph Lawless of Collegeville, Pa., police said.

One or more individuals removed window screens and entered the residence through unlocked windows, police said.

The individual or individuals then damaged property inside the residence, state police at Laporte said. They also damaged property outside the residence, police said.

The break-in occurred between July 1 and July 21, police said.
