Man suffers minor injury
State police at Towanda said Lewis F. Rheppard Jr. of Granville Summit had a minor injury in a crash that took place at 2:50 p.m. Feb. 11 on Route 14 in Columbia Township.
According to police, a "witness," who was not identified, was traveling northbound and attempted to turn left into the former AMZAC/Radio Shack parking lot. Police said Rheppard was also traveling northbound on Route 14, approaching from the rear. He attempted to go around the "witness" on the left and struck the guiderail along the west side of Route 14. His vehicle, a Peterbilt truck, rolled over onto its passenger's side, coming to final rest on top of the guiderail, facing east.
Police said Rheppard was charged with a violation of "driving on roadways laned."
Failure to comply reported
State police at Towanda said Duane DeMellier, 34, failed to sign his updated Megan's Law registration while he was incarcerated sometime between 1:10 p.m. and 1:21 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Bradford County Correctional Facility in West Burlington Township.
Police said he was charged with one count of "failure to comply with sexual offenders requirements."
Vehicle struck
State police at Towanda said an unknown vehicle struck another vehicle at 5 a.m. March 11 in the parking lot of the Dandy Mini Mart in Burlington.
Police said the unknown vehicle was being driven through the parking lot at the Dandy Mini Mart and struck a 2000 Audi, as it was in a parked position. The Audi sustained minor damage to its rear end while the unknown vehicle had unknown damage. The Audi was pushed slightly, as a result of the impact with the unknown vehicle and came to final rest in the parking area, approximately two feet from its original position. The driver of the unknown vehicle fled the scene, police said.
Tattoo without consent
State police at Towanda said a Troy man gave a juvenile a tattoo, without consent from the juvenile's parent/guardian and without the parent being present, March 2 in Alba Borough.
Police said the victim was a 15-year-old Troy female.
Vehicle strikes tree
State police at Towanda said Danielle L. Przybylski, 26, of Canton, was not injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 5 p.m. March 8 on Brague Road in Canton Township.
Police said she was traveling south at approximately 5 p.m. on Brague Road, and was negotiating a right curve, when she slid off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree. Police said she stated she was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was not injured. Police said there were no adverse weather conditions to report at the time of the crash. In addition, police said that because Brague Road is a dirt/gravel road and is curved in this area, there are no pavement markings in this area. Police said she will be cited with a violation of "immediate notice of accident to police department" and a violation of "driving on right side of roadway."
People injured
State police at Towanda said two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 5:58 p.m. March 10 on Springbrook Drive in Canton Township.
Those involved in the crash were the driver, Brittany Conklin, 25, of Canton, who had a minor injury, and her passenger, Brenda S. Conklin of Canton, who had a moderate injury, police said.
According to police, the crash occurred as they were traveling south on Route 14, and negotiating a left curve. For an unknown reason, Brittany Conklin lost control and her Ford Escort then traveled onto the southbound shoulder of Route 14, striking a ditch with its front end area. It then came to final rest, facing south on the southbound shoulder of Route 14.
Police said Brittany Conklin was charged with a violation of "roadways laned for traffic."
No injuries in crash
State police at Towanda said no one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred recently on Grover-Wheelerville Road at its intersection with Brague Road in Canton Township.
According to police, drivers involved in the crash were Carl A. Winslow, 32, of Bath, N.Y., who was driving a Chevrolet Silverado, and Edward F. Vonohlen Jr., 49, of Laceyville, who was driving a Kenworth. They and their passengers were not injured, police said.
Police said Winslow was traveling south on Brague Road, failed to stop at a properly posted stop sign at the intersection, entered the intersection and struck Vonohlen's vehicle, as it was traveling west on Grover Road. After impact, Winslow's vehicle came to final rest in the westbound lane of Grover Road and Vonohlen's vehicle came to final rest in the eastbound lane, facing west and blocking the intersection. Both vehicles had disabling damage as a result of the crash, police said.
Police said Winslow was cited for a violation of "stop signs and yield signs" through District Court 42-3-01.
Driver not injured
State police at Towanda said Brittney J. Owen, 23, of Towanda was not injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred March 8 on Route 6 in Wyalusing Township.
Police said she was traveling west along Route 6, when a deer ran into the roadway. Her Dodge Dart struck the deer, police said.
Arrest prior to requisition
State police at Towanda said Veronique Rivera, 26, of Athens, was charged with "arrest prior to requisition" sometime between 1:15 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. March 9 at the Bradford County Correctional Facility in West Burlington Township, due to the fact that Tioga County, N.Y. has an active, full extradition warrant for her.
Driver injured
State police at Towanda said Desiree A. Garrity, 20, of Wysox, had a minor injury in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 3 a.m. March 10 on Route 6 in Burlington Township.
Police said Garrity was traveling west on Route 6, when she allowed the vehicle to travel off the north side of the roadway. Police said the Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight struck a ditch.
Vehicle hits fence
State police at Towanda said an unknown driver was involved in a crash at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 9 on Grover-Wheelerville Road in Canton Township in which the driver's vehicle struck a fence.
According to police, the vehicle, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, was traveling west on the road, between Graham Road and Brague Road. Then, the driver left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a fence that was situated along the north side of the roadway. It continued traveling and became stuck after striking an embankment on the north side of the roadway. After impact, it came to a final rest in the roadside along the westbound lane. Police said the driver fled the scene.
Suspect taken into custody
State police at Towanda said they investigated a one-vehicle crash that took place at 6:41 p.m. March 1 on Route 6, east of Troy Borough, in Troy Township.
Police said the suspect, a 31-year-old Troy woman, was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. Charges are pending for DUI and related traffic offenses through District Court 42-3-01.
No injuries in crash
State police at Towanda said Lindsey N. Chapman, 24, of Athens, had a moderate injury in a crash that took place at 2:45 p.m. March 3 on Route 6 in West Burlington Township.
Police said Chapman was traveling west, approximately .3 miles west of Burlington Township, and lost control of a Chevrolet Aveo on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle struck a guide rail on a bridge, continued traveling, and then struck a concrete barrier. After impact, the vehicle continued traveling approximately 10 feet and came to final rest in the eastbound lane of Route 6, facing west.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Junior's Towing. The Troy Volunteer Fire Department, Memorial EMS and Western Alliance EMS assisted at the scene.
Police said there was EMS transport by Western Alliance to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre.
Indecent acts reported
State police at Towanda said they are investigating an incident that took place at approximately 9:25 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Bradford County Correctional Facility in West Burlington Township in which indecent acts were performed by a prison inmate and were observed by a cellmate.
Police said Cody Charles Parsons, 23, is accused in the incident. Charges were filed in District Court 42-3-01, police said.
Police said the victim was a 50-year-old man.
Theft by deception reported
State police at Towanda said someone committed theft by deception by posing as a pharmaceutical representative to a Burlington woman recently.
According to police, the victim, Jayne Petruci, 64, of Burlington, sent money to the person via Western Union at 8 a.m. Feb. 23 in Burlington Township.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
Bad check sent
State police at Towanda said someone sent William Jess Steele, no age given, of Gillett, a bad check via mail, which prompted Steele to cash the check and return him a portion of the money.
Police said the incident took place at 8 a.m. Feb. 17 in Springfield Township. Police said they are investigating.
No injuries in accident
State police at Towanda said Lontez J. Brooks, 19, of Elmira, N.Y. was not injured in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 4 a.m. Feb. 14 on Route 14, approximately one-fourth mile south of Doty Hill Road, in South Creek Township.
Police said they investigated a crash that occurred as Brooks' Ford Explorer was traveling south on Route 14. As he was attempting to negotiate a slight left hand curve, he lost control of the vehicle, which left the roadway and traveled into a field on the west side of Route 14. It then rolled over and landed upright in the field, police said. Police said Brooks and his passenger, who was not injured, were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Police said Brooks was charged with a violation of "roadways laned for travel." The South Creek Fire Department, Chemung County Sheriff and Junior's Towing assisted at the scene.
Identity theft reported
State police at Towanda said someone used the personal information of a 44-year-old Canton woman sometime between Feb. 1-19 on Southside Road in Leroy Township to fraudulently file for unemployment compensation.
Vehicle strikes snowbank
State police at Towanda said Aimee L. Bailey, 30, of Canton, suffered a minor injury in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 13 on Springfield Road in Springfield Township.
Police said the crash occurred as Bailey was traveling west in a Dodge Ram on Springfield Road and hit a patch of ice, which caused the vehicle to fishtail and strike the snowbank on the southern shoulder of the road.
Theft attempted
State police at Towanda said someone tried to steal a metal pipe from the property of Harry Ronald Morse, no age given, of Canton, at 10:20 a.m. Feb. 22 on Southside Road in Canton Township.
Police said they are investigating.
Man has minor injury
Jay R. Benson, 23, of Tioga, Pa., suffered a minor injury in a one-vehicle crash that took place Feb. 18 on Simcoe Road in Springfield Township, according to state police at Towanda.
Police said he was traveling in a Dodge Ram south on Simcoe Road and was negotiating a right hand curve when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle drove across the northbound lane and struck a tree on the west roadside. According to police, Benson suffered a minor injury to his right hand and was transported to Robert Packer Hospital by Ridgebury EMS.
Police said Benson was later determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was charged with DUI, along with multiple traffic offenses. His vehicle was towed by Keleher's Garage. Ridgebury Fire assisted on scene.
Forgery reported
State police at Towanda said a 67-year-old woman on Feb. 6 unknowingly cashed a fraudulent check that she had received from someone to whom she was engaged in an online relationship.
Police said the incident took place on Grover Road in Canton.
Man not injured
State police at Mansfield said Jay R. Krise, 24, of Canton, was not injured in a one-vehicle crash that took place at 11:30 p.m. Feb. 24 on River Road in Ward Township, Tioga County, Pa.
Police said Krise was traveling east along the road in a 2014 Subaru BRZ. According to police, he was attempting to negotiate a left hand curve at a speed too fast for conditions, when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow/ice-covered roadway. The vehicle slid off the roadway, via the south berm, and struck the rear of a parked, unoccupied vehicle with its front end. It came to rest pointing east, upon impact. The other vehicle, a Ford Ranger, was pushed approximately 30 feet in a northeast direction, where it came to rest pointing northeast.
Police said Krise was charged with a violation of "driving vehicle at safe speed."
Crash details released
State police at Towanda have provided their report on the 8:30 a.m. Feb. 24 crash on Porter Road in Troy Township in which a driver in a Pontiac Aztec struck a Freightliner Coronado in the southbound lane.
According to police, Justus R. Garrison, 67, of Troy, driving the Aztec, was traveling south on Porter Road while the Freightliner was parked in the southbound lane of the road. Police said Garrison approached and struck the Freightliner in the southbound lane. Garrison's vehicle was deflected off the Freightliner into the east roadside ditch, facing west, and Garrison suffered several broken ribs and was transported to Arnot Hospital by Western Alliance EMS. The driver of the Freightliner, Dennis L. Crayton, 50, of Towanda, was not injured, police said. Garrison's vehicle was towed by Columbia Cross Roads Equipment and the Freightliner was towed by Burkholder's. The Troy Fire Department assisted on the scene.
Police said Garrison was charged with a violation of "driving at safe speed."
Accident occurs in Asylum Twp.
At approximately 10 p.m. on March 14, a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling west on Tip Top Road in Asylum Township when, for unknown reasons, it traveled off the south side of the road and struck a tree, police said.
The operator of the vehicle fled the scene, state police at Towanda said.
The vehicle had to be towed from the scene, police said.
No one injured in Wysox Twp. crash
Rinia A. Eleazar, 36, of Towanda was uninjured when she was involved in a motor vehicle accident at 3:45 p.m. Monday in Wysox Township, police said.
The accident occurred when, for unknown reasons, Eleazar lost control of her vehicle on a right curve as she was traveling south on Shores Hill Road, police said.
The vehicle traveled off the east side of the road and struck a tree, state police at Towanda said.
No one injured in Forks Twp. crash
Jay Couch, 54, of Wyalusing was uninjured when he was involved in a motor vehicle accident at 7 a.m. Saturday on Campbellsville Road in Forks Township, police said.
Couch was traveling west on Campbellsville Road when he lost control of his 2000 Ford Focus on the icy roadway, police said.
The vehicle traveled off the north side of the road, pushed through a guard rail cable, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree, state police said.
Theft occurs in Cherry Twp.
State police said they are investigating the theft of copper wire from Aerion LLC on U.S. Route 220 in Cherry Township, Sullivan County.
Sometime between Feb. 10 and March 10, individuals arrived on scene and cut and removed the power cords from a number of rental vacuum/power washer units, police said.

Crash reported in Sheshequin
One person suffered moderate injuries after a March 13 collision on James Street in Sheshequin Township, police said,
According to police, John J. Knecht, 83, of Towanda was heading north on James Street in a 2002 GMC 3500 when a 1992 Dodge Stealth, driven by 42-year-old Michael M. Cranmer, of Wysox, came around a left curve in the middle of the road while traveling south.
Police said Knecht pulled to the right to avoid Cranmer but couldn't avoid being hit in the driver's side.
Police said Cranmer's passenger, Skyler Overpeck-Cordner, 24, of Rome suffered facial injuries and an infant in the rear seat was transported for evaluation.
The Dodge was towed from the scene by Fulmer Brothers Towing of Wysox, police said.
Cranmer was cited for failure to obey traffic lanes, police said.
Sayre man charged with assault
Casey J. Dibble, 26, of Sayre, was charged with simple assault and harassment on March 15, police said.
According to police, Dibble was involved in a domestic dispute, which turned violent, with a female victim.
Police said they were called and told that Dibble was assaulting the victim.
When police arrived, the victim said nothing happened, but police noticed a large red mark on her neck which, police said, was consistent with having been grabbed by the neck.
Police said it was reported to them that Dibble threw the victim to the ground.
Dibble will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on March 24 for his preliminary hearing.
Two taken into custody after Athens traffic stop
Blaine Thomas Boyer, 25, of Towanda, and Joseph Lee Granger, 43, of Gillett, were arrested after police conducted a traffic stop in Athens Borough, police said.
Police said they stopped Boyer in his Nissan truck after observing it swerve in its lane and cross the center line.
Police said Granger was ordered out of the vehicle after failing to show the officers his hands.
Granger lied to police about his identity due to warrants for his arrest, police said.
Upon searching the vehicle, police said they found items used to "cook" narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and two bags containing bath salts.
Granger was charged with possession of bath salts, paraphernalia possession, and giving a false name to police, police said.
Police said Boyer was charged with possession of bath salts, paraphernalia possession, driving on the wrong side of the road, and failure to display his license plate.
Granger and Boyer were remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, each, police said.
Granger and Boyer will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw for their preliminary hearings on March 31.
Athens woman charged after not returning vehicle
Tanya Y. Kithcart, 40, of Athens, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and driving with a suspended license after not returning Gary Brown's 2001 Jeep Cherokee, police said.
According to police, Brown loaned Kithcart his vehicle on March 12 to drive to work in Horseheads.
Brown had not heard from Kithcart after multiple attempts to contact her and on March 15, Brown notified police Kithcart had his vehicle, police said.
Kithcart has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 21 for her preliminary hearing.
Sayre man charged with providing alcohol to underage woman
Patrick Joseph Henderson, 24, of Sayre, was charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor after providing a 19-year-old woman of Waverly, alcohol on March 16, police said.
According to police, Henderson had the woman at his apartment on Desmond Street in Sayre, where they drank beer and shots of liquor.
Police said Henderson kicked her out of his apartment at 8 a.m. March 16 because his girlfriend was coming over to his apartment.
Police said the woman was found passed out in the South Elmer Avenue Dandy Mini Mart bathroom in the morning on March 16.
Henderson has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 21 for his preliminary hearing.
Athens woman charged with drug possession
Nikki L. Vandyke, 36, of Athens, was charged with drug possession after being searched in the Magisterial District Judge office on Herrick Avenue in Athens, police said.
According to police, Vandyke was being taken into custody at Judge Michael Shaw's office for a hearing related to a retail theft charge.
Police said Vandyke was searched before being taken into custody and was found to have two white pills identified as Percocet on her person.
Vandyke told police she had a prescription for the pills, but provided no proof and kept the pills in a small glass container rather than a pharmacy-issued medication container with a valid label.
Vandyke has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on March 31 for her preliminary hearing.
