Assault reported
State police at Towanda said they are investigating an assault that occurred at 11 p.m. March 14 on Route 14 in Canton Township.
Police said a 17-year-old female, the victim in the incident, reported that she was struck in the face by a 19-year-old man.

Rubbish scattered
Robert E. Buckley, 32, of Towanda Township, told state police at Towanda that an unknown person disposed of a small Kohler engine and various pieces of scrap metal on his property sometime between 2 p.m. and midnight on March 20 on the Burlington Turnpike in Towanda Township.

Loitering and prowling reported
State police at Towanda said they are investigating an incident that took place sometime between approximately 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. March 20 on Route 514 in Granville Township in which two unknown white males walked around the outside of a home, pounding doors and shining lights inside the windows.
Police said the victim is a 72-year-old Granville Township resident.

Hinge broken
State police at Towanda said they are investigating an incident in which someone broke the front gate hinge on the fence of Sharon Joiner, 67, of Canton, sometime between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. March 18 on Dauber Road in Canton Township, and fled the area.

Access device fraud attempted
State police at Towanda said an unknown person tried to use the credit card information of Jason Z. McNett of Springfield Township at 9 a.m. March 18 in Springfield Township to make a $400 purchase on the Sears website, but was unsuccessful.

No one injured
State police at Towanda said Jane E. Ehrlich of Granville Summit was not injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 8 p.m. March 20 on Route 6 in West Burlington Township.
Police said she was traveling east in a Chevrolet Cobalt, approximately .2 miles west of the Berwick-Burlington Turnpike, in West Burlington Township, and lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a right curve in the road. The vehicle then left the roadway, struck a ditch on the north side of the road and then continued traveling east in the ditch until it struck a utility pole. After impact, the vehicle came to final rest in the ditch, still in contact with the utility pole, police said.
Police said the vehicle was towed by Junior's Towing and Troy Volunteer Fire Department and Western Alliance Ambulance assisted at the scene.
Police said Ehrlich was charged with a violation of "roadways laned for traffic."
No injuries in crash
State police at Towanda said Rebecca L. Carpenter, 24, of Schenectady, N.Y. was not injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:22 a.m. March 20 on Route 14 in Canton Township.
According to police, she was traveling south on Route 14, north of Owens Road, and was exiting a right curve when she lost control of her Kia Soul for unknown reasons. Police said the vehicle traveled to the northbound shoulder of Route 14 and down a small embankment. Then, it struck a tree with its driver's side roof/passenger door area and another tree with its front end area. Police said it came to final rest on the northbound shoulder of Route 14, facing east, with its front end area against the tree.
Police said she was cited with a violation of "roadways laned for traffic."
No injuries reported
State police at Towanda said no one was injured in a one-vehicle crash that took place March 21 on Route 549, at its intersection with Route 328, in Wells Township.
Police said Rosie J. Simons, 39, of Elkland, Pa. was driving east on Route 328 and was approaching the intersection with Route 549 and applied the brakes to stop at the stop sign. According to police, her Nissan Frontier began to slip on the ice-covered roadway and slid through the intersection, striking a ditch alongside the eastbound lane of travel of Route 328, where it came to final rest, facing northeast.
Police said neither Simons nor a passenger in her vehicle were injured. Police said Simons was charged with a violation of "roadways laned for traffic."
Crash reported
State police at Towanda said a one-vehicle crash occurred at 1 a.m. March 21 on Springfield Road in Springfield Township.
Police said the unknown driver was traveling south on Checkerville Road and approached the intersection with Springfield Road. While traveling toward the intersection, the driver lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and slid through the intersection. Police said the vehicle then traveled into a front yard and struck a mailbox at 1712 Springfield Rd. After impact, the driver/vehicle fled the scene, police said.
Three involved in Ulster crash
State police said a 2003 Pontiac Montana collided with a 2013 Dodge Ram on U.S. Route 220 March 20 in Ulster.
According to police, Steven R. Althoff, 28, of Sayre was heading south on Route 220 in the Dodge when he saw the Pontiac, driven by 42-year-old Heidi Bidwell, of Towanda, coming toward him in his lane after losing control for unknown reasons.
Police said Althoff attempted to avoid the Pontiac by pulling left, but the Pontiac hit the rear fender and tail light of the Dodge.
Both vehicles came to rest and Althoff went to check on Bidwell and her passenger Gene Bidwell Jr., 48, also of Towanda, police said.
Police said the Pontiac had scratches on the passenger side doors and the mirror was broken off.
The Dodge sustained a broken tail light and a dent on the rear fender, police said.
All three were wearing seat belts, but police said it was unknown if the Bidwells were injured.
The Pontiac was towed from the scene by Fulmers, police said.
Heidi Bidwell was cited for failure to obey traffic lanes.
