Sayre woman charged in April 1 drug arrest

Stormie R. Coyne, 37, of Sayre was charged in connection with a series of arrests on April 1 at the Spring Street Dandy Mini Mart in Sayre, Sayre police said.

Coyne was charged with possession of bath salts and paraphernalia after attempting to discard the items in the store's restroom, police said.

Police said one of the women charged handed the items to Coyne for her to get rid of them.

Police subsequently could not locate Coyne when dealing with the others involved in the situation.

Coyne was remanded to Bradford County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

She will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 14 for her preliminary hearing.

Assault, harassment charges for Sayre man

Charles G. Wolcott, 35, of Sayre, was charged with simple assault and harassment by Athens Township Police on April 4, Athens police said.

Police responded to a domestic disturbance call on Wilawana Road in Athens where they found Wolcott and Joan Abbey.

Abbey told police that Wolcott hit her in the mouth and she hit Wolcott in the head in retaliation, police said.

Police said Abbey had swelling, bruising, and a cut as a result of the physical altercation.

Wolcott was remanded to Bradford County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.

Wolcott will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 14 for his preliminary hearing.
