Cell phone theft in Ulster

State police in Towanda are investigating a theft in Ulster, police said.

According to police, on March 31 at about 6 p.m., a cell phone was stolen from a 23-year-old victim on U.S. Route 220 in Ulster.

One injured in Ridgebury crash

Towanda state police said an Elmira man was injured after the 2008 Jeep Wrangler he was driving veered off the road.

According to police, Eric Singerhoff, 21, of Elmira, was traveling north on state Route 4013 in Ridgebury when he lost control of the vehicle.

The Jeep left the road where it hit several trees and a ditch, which caused it to roll onto its roof, police said.

Singerhoff was wearing a seatbelt during the crash, police said.

Singerhoff was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.

Trash dumped on roadside

Two bags of household garbage were dumped on the side of Green Mountain Road in Ridgebury according to state police in Towanda.

Police said on April 3, an unknown actor or actors illegally dumped the trash on the road.

Criminal mischief in Ridgebury

A door window was cracked by unknown means on April 6 between 3 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., according to Towanda state police.

Police said the incident occurred on the Berwick Turnpike in Ridgebury.

Elmira woman charged in November drug bust

According to Sayre Borough Police, Harley Alice Platt, 19, of Elmira, was charged with marijuana and bath salt possession as well as paraphernalia possession.

On Nov. 30, Sayre police enacted a search warrant on a North Elmer Avenue house in Sayre, police said.

When searching the home, police found Platt and two other individuals attempting to exit the house through a window, police said.

Police said Platt had several paraphernalia pieces with burnt residue on them, as well as white powder.

Police also found a small bag containing a green leafy substance, which later field tested positive for marijuana, in Platt's purse.

Platt was remanded to Bradford County Jail in lieu of $45,000 bail.

Platt will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on April 21 for her preliminary hearing.
