Pair charged with trespassing

According to Towanda state police, Matthew Vangorder, 20, and Brittany Michelle Fassett, 22, both of Wyalusing were charged with criminal trespassing and overnight accommodations with no person present after police were notified to their unapproved presence at a Taylor Avenue residence in Wyalusing on April 12.

Police said upon arriving at the residence, a neighbor related Fassett left the residence but Vangorder was still inside.

After finding all doors to the residence locked, police were given permission to kick the door in, police said.

After entering the home, police found Vangorder asleep on the couch and to be in possession of synthetic marijuana, police said.

Vangorder was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief, police said.

Police said Fassett was located at her home and was taken into custody.

Vangorder's formal arraignment is scheduled for May 14.

Fassett will appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on May 26 for her preliminary hearing.

Meshoppen man charged with drug possession, public drunkenness

Richard Michael Harvey, 42, of Meshoppen, Pa., was charged with marijuana possession, paraphernalia possession, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness by Towanda state police following an April 12 incident, state police said.

According to police, troopers responded to a call about a disoriented male near the Bradford Towne Center Plaza in Wysox.

Harvey was in the plaza parking lot where police said he seemed disoriented and had difficulty standing.

When asked if Harvey had anything on his person, he showed police a packet of Xtreme Aroma Therapy Spice, police said.

After searching Harvey, police also found a prescription pill bottle containing an unknown white pill and rolling papers.

Harvey was remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Harvey will appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on May 5 for his preliminary hearing.

Rape investigation underway

Towanda state police are investigating multiple instances of sexual assault that took place over several years, state police said.

According to police, two juvenile victims were sexually assaulted multiple times in Wyalusing Borough.

Police said the suspect in known to the victims.

Harding man charged with theft, criminal trespassing

Towanda state police said Brian Christopher Gashi, 42, of Harding, Pa., was charged with theft from a motor vehicle, criminal trespassing, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness after police were called to respond to a suspicious person call at Spidle Turbeco in Wysox on April 13.

Police found Gashi in the parking lot acting maniacally with rapid speech and constricted pupils, police said.

Gashi told police he lived in Wysox and was looking for his coworker but later said he lived in Harding, Pa. and was working on the power plant in Asylum, police said.

A Spidle Turbeco employee saw Gashi going through a truck that Gashi told police he arrived in, police said.

Gashi was remanded to Bradford County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Gashi's formal arraignment is scheduled for May 14.

Radio controlled drone found in Warren Twp.

Towanda state police found a radio controlled drone on game lands near Arbor Glade Road in Warren Township, according to state police.
