Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:

Rhonda Rogers, 37, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Harassment, a summary, and was sentenced to court costs. Officer George Nichols of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Rogers for the offense on Feb. 11, 2015, following investigation of a Harassment theft that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Jesse Gustin, 31, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to court costs. Trooper Terence Foley of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gustin for the offense on March 28, 2015, following investigation of a Theft that occurred in Asylum Township.

Richard Harvey, 42, Meshoppen, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Possession of a Small amount of Marijuana, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to 30 days and court costs. Trooper Peter Federici of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Harvey for the offense on April 12, 2015 following investigation of a Possession Charge that occurred in Wysox Township.

Stacy Mann, 40, Waymart, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton to the offense of Receiving Stolen Property, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to time served, plus restitution to be determined and court costs. Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Mann for the offense on March 13, 2015, following investigation of a Receiving Stolen Property that occurred in Asylum Township.

Terence Cooper, 45, Endicott, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Public Drunkenness, a summary offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 30 days (suspended), a fine of $500, and court costs. Officer George Nichols of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Cooper for the offense on March 14, 2015, following investigation of a Public Drunkenness that occurred in Sayre Borough.

Derek Hovan, 19, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $100 and court costs. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Hovan for the offense on Jan. 9, 2015, following investigation of a Traffic Incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Jasmine Burns, 19, Wysox, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Fred Wheaton, to the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree, and was sentenced to restitution in the amount of $394 and court costs. Trooper Christopher Stack of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Burns for the offense on Feb. 25, 2015, following investigation of a Theft that occurred in Wysox Borough.

Victoria Trindle, 34, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge, Michael Shaw, to the offense of Driving under Suspension (DUI Related), a summary offense and was sentenced to 60 days and court costs.

Christopher Pozzi, 34, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $100, and court costs. Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Pozzi for the offense on Feb. 18, 2015, following investigation of a Theft that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Michael J. Benjamin, 30, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Scattering Rubbish, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to a fine of $100.00, and court costs. Trooper Joseph Bufalino of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Benjamin for the offense on Jan. 5, 2015, following investigation of a Scattering Rubbish that occurred in Ulster Township.

Russell Conklin, 34, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense and was sentenced to a fine of $75 and court costs. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Conklin for the offense on April 18, 2015, following investigation of an Assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Bradlee Elliott, 21, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to a fine of $100 and court costs. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Elliott for the offense on March 3, 2015, following investigation of a Possession of Paraphernalia that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Matthew McKernan, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark, to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $100, and court costs. Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McKernan for the offense on Oct. 21, 2014, following investigation of a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia that occurred in Franklin Township.

Brandy Eakins, 31, Granville Summit, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to time served and court costs. Trooper Tyler Brackman of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Eakins for the offense on March 20, 2014, following investigation of a possession that occurred in West Burlington Township.

Daniel Grubb, 32, Ulster, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense, and was sentenced to time served and court costs. Trooper Richter of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Grubb for the offense on April 4, 2014, following investigation of a harassment that occurred in Smithfield Township.

Darrell Struble, 33, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Furnishing Drug Free Urine, a misdemeanor of the third degree and Possession of Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor, and was sentenced to five months and court costs. Trooper Caroline Rayeski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Struble following investigation of a possession of a controlled substance that occurred in Troy Township.

Andrew Osgood, 42, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense, and was sentenced to a fine of $200 and court costs. Trooper Steve Steranski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Osgood for the offense on April 8, 2015, following investigation of a harassment that occurred in Springfield Township.

Levi Cole, 19, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Jonathan Wilcox to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor and was sentenced to a fine of $200 and court costs. Chief Douglas Seeley of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Cole for the offense on Jan. 14, 2015, following investigation of a possession that occurred in Canton Borough.

Tawni Whyte, 20, Monroeton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and was sentenced to restitution of $100 and court costs. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Whyte for the offense on Feb. 3, 2012, following investigation of an assault that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Daniel L. Bell, 65, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Facility for two years to 19 years for the offenses including unlawful firearm possession, possession of child pornography and unlawfully recording another person, three felonies and two misdemeanors. Bell's sentence will run consecutive to a 23 month sentence imposed for an earlier case. Bell will be a lifetime registered sex offender as a result of the sentence. Detective Albert Ogden of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Bell for the offenses in 2014.

Matthew McLinko, 21, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for four days to six months for one count of DUI and 15 days (flat), followed by County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months, on another count of DUI (County Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include home confinement, electronic monitoring, and substance abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration.), fines, costs and restitution of $2,500. He was also ordered to lose his driver's license for 30 months. He was also ARD revoked on one count, for the offense of two counts of DUI, a misdemeanor, and one count, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police and Trooper Christopher Schelling also of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested McLinko following investigation of incidents that occurred in Athens Township.

Jonathan Houghtalen, 29, Waverly, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 90 days to 23 ½ months, fines of $1,500 and court costs for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Houghtalen for the offense in September 2014.

Joshua Brown, 33, Canton, Pa., was resentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for six months to 12 months, fines of $250 plus court costs and restitution of $2,425.03, for the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the third degree. Trooper George Layou of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Brown following investigation of an incident that occurred in Canton Township in November 2012.

Angie Wise, 24, of Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 156 days to 23 ½ months and restitution of $120, for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a Felony. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Wise for the offense in December 2014.

Angie Wise, 24, of Sayre, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of 12 months, for the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Officer Bruce Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Wise for the offense in August 2013.

Richard Henderson, 27, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to Probation supervision for a term of two years, fines of $500.00, plus court costs and restitution of $200 for the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Trooper Robert Hutchison of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Henderson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Athens Borough in December 2013.

Charles Kenyon, 58, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 30 days to six months, fines of $750 plus court costs for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Kenyon following investigation of an incident that occurred in Albany Township.

Levi R. Foux, 33, Sugar Run, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense. Foux was also sentenced this day to eight days in the Bradford County Correctional Facility. Trooper Joseph Bufalino of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Foux following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wilmot Township.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Kyle Hillard, 21, Laceyville, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a felony of the second degree. Hillard will be sentenced July 6, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hillard following investigation of an incident that occurred in Tuscarora Township

Theresa Hayford-Baker, 50, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a felony. Hayford-Baker will be sentenced on July 6, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Hayford-Baker for the offense on Jan. 18, 2015.

Shane Furman, 34, Wysox, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Furman will be sentenced July 6, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents for the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Furman following investigation of an incident.

Derrick Seeley, 31, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony and Possession of Precursors to Manufacture Methamphetamines, a felony. Seeley will be sentenced July 6, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Bruce Huffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Seeley for the offense on Nov. 30, 2014.

Austin Merritt, 19, New Albany, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense. Merritt will be sentenced July 2, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Peter Federici of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Merritt following investigation of an incident that occurred on Nov. 1, 2014 in Monroe Township.

Derek Hunsinger, 24, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Hunsinger will be sentenced on July 2, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Hunsinger for the offense on April 13, 2014.

Timothy Bailey, 35, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Bailey will be sentenced on July 6, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Bailey following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Dennis Bacon, 24, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Bacon will be sentenced on July 2, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Bradford County Drug Task Force arrested Bacon for the offense on June 5, 2014.

Stephen Gordon, 22, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony. Gordon will be sentenced on July 2, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Agents of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Gordon following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Borough.

Robert Swackhammer, 19, Burlington, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Theft, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Swackhammer will be sentenced on June 29, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Joshua Fisher of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Swackhammer following investigation of an incident that occurred in Burlington Township on June 23, 2014.

Louis Philippi, 58, Rome, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the first degree. Philippi will be sentenced on June 29, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Philippi following investigation of an incident that occurred in Windham Township.

Robert Evans, 38, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Evans will be sentenced on June 29, 2015, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Andrew Stevens of the Athens Borough Department arrested Evans for the offense on Jan. 26, 2015.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons were recently accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Ashley Perry, 28, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Theft by Unlawful Taking, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Perry will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Perry must perform community service. Officer John Fedorchak of the Athens Township Police Department filed the charges.

Derek Wells, 18, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Wells will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police arrested Wells for the offense in January 2015, for the offense in Athens Township.

Cynthia Larson, 44, Wysox, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Larson will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Larson must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and she will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days. Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Larson for the offense.

Kristy Houseknecht, 26, Athens, Pa., charged with the offense of Retail Theft, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Houseknecht will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Houseknecht must perform 24 hours of community service. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police arrested Houseknecht for the offense on Dec. 21, 2014 in Athens Township.

Richard Moss, 75, Milan, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on Probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Moss will be subject to supervision which will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Moss must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Trooper Jeffrey Creedon of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Moss for the offense.
