Towanda man charged with theft, burglary
Jack Ronald Stroud of Towanda was recently charged with burglary, receiving stolen property, and theft by unlawful taking or disposition, police said.
The charges stem from an incident in which Stroud stole a gold chain and cross from a residence on Bridge Street in Towanda, police said. Stroud, 33, then sold the gold chain and cross on Oct. 18, 2014 to C&G Wilcox Engravings & Images in Towanda for $375, Towanda police said.
Two cited for harassment in Towanda Twp.
Thirty-year-old Kristopher Reeves and 29-year-old Jessica Kepner, both of Towanda, have been cited for the summary offense of harassment, police said.
The citations stem from a May 31 incident in which the two spit on each other while they were arguing, state police said.
The incident occurred at a location on Railroad Street in Towanda Township, according to the state police at Towanda.
Vandalism occurs in Wysox Twp.
Someone recently sliced the front passenger tire to a 2012 black Dodge Ram 1500 at the Sherwood Groves auto dealership on Golden Mile Road, Wysox, and then fled the scene, police said.
The vandalism occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 10:22 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Theft occurs at Wysox business
State police said they are trying to determine who stole four fruit trees recently from the Shores Sisters business at 1003 Golden Mile Rd., Wysox Township.
State police said they investigated the theft at 8 a.m. Monday.

Construction equipment stolen in Elkland Twp.
State police said they are trying to determine who broke into the job trailers at a site on state Route 154 in Elkland Township and removed tools.
The thieves also stole a Kubota UTV that was at the scene, police said.
The UTV, trailers and tools belong to W&D Smith Site Development and Joseph Leonard of Painted Post, N.Y., police said.
The thefts occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. Monday, police said.

Barton man facing public drunkenness, drug paraphernalia charges
David M. Hadlock, 35, of Barton, N.Y., was charged with public drunkenness and drug paraphernalia possession on April 12 by Sayre Borough Police after police saw Hadlock walking on a vehicle traffic only bridge on North Thomas Avenue in Sayre, according to Sayre police.
Police said they noticed a vehicle parked near the single lane bridge and saw Hadlock begin to walk across the bridge.
Police placed Hadlock in custody for public drunkenness after finding him intoxicated, police said.
Upon searching Hadlock, police found a plastic snort tube and a glass pipe on Hadlock, police said.
Hadlock has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on July 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Athens man charged with drug possession, driving with suspended license
Sayre Borough Police charged Mark D. Brundage, 30, of Athens, with drug possession and driving with a suspended license after conducting a traffic stop on Brundage on May 15 on Stevenson Street in Sayre, according to Sayre police.
Police said they noticed Brundage driving and stopped him due to being wanted by the Bradford County Sheriff's Office.
Police placed Brundage in custody and found two small zip lock baggies with white powder residue that Brundage said was bath salts, police said.
Police said they saw Brundage throw a rubber ball that contained bath salt residue under the seat of the vehicle.
Brundage told police he knew his license was suspended, police said.
Brundage has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on July 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Marijuana charge for Corning woman
Corine Snyder, 18, of Corning, N.Y., was charged with possessing a small amount of marijuana by Sayre Borough Police on June 7 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre police said.
Police responded to the hospital after being notified that a nurse found what she believed to be a controlled substance on a trauma patient, later identified as Snyder, police said.
A hospital security officer provided police with a zip lock bag with a green leafy substance as well as a small hand-rolled burnt cigarette, police said.
Police spoke with Snyder who admitted the substance was marijuana when speaking to police and said she uses it while she is pregnant because "it's a lot safer than cigarettes or alcohol," according to the criminal complaint filed against Snyder.
The substance later field tested positive for marijuana, police said.
Snyder will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on July 28 for her preliminary hearing.
Withdrawals made
State police at Towanda said someone accessed the bank of a 75-year-old Columbia Cross Roads man sometime between June 1, 2014 and May 1, 2015 on Hoblet Road in Springfield Township, and made numerous withdrawals.

Men charged
Two men have been charged following an assault that occurred at approximately 5:30 p.m. May 13 on the Burlington Turnpike in Burlington Township, said state police at Towanda.
Police said Brian Joe Rought, 38, of Burlington, was charged with aggravated assault and Brandon Michael Davis, 27, of Gillett, was charged with simple assault and harassment through Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark's office.
According to police, Rought and Davis got into an argument. Police said Rought then struck Davis with a vehicle, and Davis, in return, punched Rought in the face. Both were treated at local hospitals, police said.
Vehicles damaged
State police at Towanda said someone damaged some vehicles at 11:30 p.m. May 30 in Springfield Township.
Police said the vehicles are owned by Steven William Spiak, 28, and Jenalyn Vallean Rockwell, 22, both of Springfield Township. Police said the vehicles were at their residences.
People to be cited
State police at Towanda said Julie Beach, 19, of Canton, and Melissa Rathbun, 32, of Canton, engaged in a physical fight, following a verbal argument, at 6:19 p.m. May 28 at the Beach residence on Ellenton Mountain Road in Canton Township.
Police said they will be cited in District Court 42-3-01.
