Man charged with possessing stolen gun

Brian Ian Williams, 36, of Sayre has been charged with receiving stolen property relating to an incident occurring between January 2012 and January 2013 at a residence located on Merry Go Round Road in Windham Township.

According to police, Williams was found in possession of a Walther PPK 9mm pistol. Police found that the gun had been stolen from an Ulster resident in 2004.

Williams was arraigned Sunday by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and released on non-monetary bail conditions. Williams is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton at 1 p.m. on July 7 for a preliminary hearing.

Burglary in Warren Twp.

State police are investigating a report of burglary that occurred sometime between the dates of June 11 and June 22 at a residence on Allyn Run Road in Warren Township.

Police said an unknown person removed $20 from a money box located in a greenhouse. The actor also removed a lock box inside the residence which contained legal documents, police said.

Child charged with hitting adult

An 11-year-old male from Sayre has been charged with harassment after police said he allegedly struck a 32-year-old female from Rome multiple times in the arms. The incident occurred at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Saturday on Vought Road in Windham Township.

Theft investigation in Windham Twp.

State police are investigating a report of burglary that occurred sometime on June 21 or June 22 at a residence on Battlecreek Road in Windham Township.

According to police, an unknown person stole a red and silver Road Warrior mountain bike from the front yard of a house.

Vandalism investigation in Windham Twp.

State police are investigating a report of criminal mischief that occurred around 7 a.m. on Friday at a residence on Ole English Road in Windham Township.

According to police, an unknown person damaged a mailbox and street sign.

Rape investigation begins in Warren Twp.

State police are investigating a report of rape that occurred at various dates and times in Warren Township.

Police said the victim is a juvenile and the suspect is a person known to the victim.
