Dushore man charged with DUI

Richard Lester Tyson, 71, of Dushore will face a charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol at a preliminary hearing on July 21 in Laporte District Court, according to online court records.

The charge stems from a traffic stop that occurred at 9:39 p.m. on April 24, when Tyson was observed driving without his headlights illuminated on state Route 87 in Dushore, according to the state police at Laporte.

Theft occurs in Wysox Twp.

On June 21, state police investigated the theft of an 8-foot Werner step ladder from a location on state Route 187 in Wysox Township.

The step ladder is yellow and has the words "Towanda Gun Club" written on one of its legs, state police said.

Forced entry attempted at Wysox business

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 1, someone tried to make a forced entry into a building at the Bishop Brothers blacktop plant on Leisure Drive in Wysox Township, police said.

State police at Towanda said they are continuing to investigate the incident.

Man charged with Megan's Law violations in Bradford County

Cody Robert Stanley, 21, of Freeville, N.Y., has been charged by the state police at Towanda with failing to comply with the registration requirements of Megan's Law, police said.

Stanley failed to arrive at an approved registration site to verify his information between April 23 and May 2, police said.

Stanley also failed to notify the Pennsylvania State Police that he was leaving Pennsylvania and moving to New York state within the required three business days, according to the state police at Towanda.

DUI charge

The following person was recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Brock Nathan Hite, 26, of Canton, by the state police, on May 30, on U.S. Route 220 in Ulster Township. Hite exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication following a motor vehicle accident.
