Two charged with trespass
Shad Kenneth Douglas, 40, of Athens and Jason A. Rifenburg, 35, of Nichols, N.Y. are facing charges of criminal trespass after police said they were found hunting without permission on land owned by Elwood Charles Doll, 63, of Newark, Del. on Dec. 13, 2014 at a property on LeRaysville Road in Windham Township.
Police said charges have been filed at the courtroom of Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton.
Mailboxes damaged in Pike Twp.
State police are investigating a report of criminal mischief relating to an 8 a.m. July 24 incident on Albert Davis Road in Pike Township.
According to police, an unknown person ran over two mailboxes belonging to Richard Haire, 66, of LeRaysville.
Fight in New Albany Borough
Paige Mariah Williams, 21, of New Albany has been charged with harassment relating to a July 27 incident on Front Street in New Albany Borough.
According to police, Williams used a closed fist to punch Jodi Yates, 42, of New Albany in the face multiple times after the two became involved in a verbal dispute.
No injuries in two-car crash
A two-vehicle accident that occurred at 9:50 a.m. on July 18 on State Route 706 in Wyalusing Township ended with no injuries, according to a press release from state police.
Police said Christopher M. Kolbeck, 33, of Wyalusing was charged with a traffic citation after rear ending a 2011 Toyota Tacoma operated by Brian S. Keeler, 61, of Wyalusing.
Kolbeck, who was driving a 2007 Mercury Mariner at the time of the accident, was charged with following a vehicle too closely, police said.
Towanda man resists arrest, police deploy Taser
Police used a Taser three times on Eric John Cook, 29, of Towanda after he refused to get out of his vehicle while being detained on suspicion of DUI relating to a early morning July 26 traffic stop in the parking lot of Golden Mile Auto Sales on Route 6 in Wysox.
Cook has been charged with driving while under the influence, resisting arrest and careless driving, police said.
According to police, Cook was combative with officers after being pulled over, and when asked to exit his vehicle to participate in sobriety testing, he refused.
Cook then closed the window to his 2006 Nissan Pathfinder and police forcibly removed him from the vehicle, an affidavit of probable cause states.
After being transported to Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital, Cook refused to consent to a blood test.
Cook was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on July 26 and remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail. The following day, Cook was bailed out by a bail bondsman, court records show.
He is scheduled to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton at a future date for a preliminary hearing.
Waverly woman facing drug charge
Chelsea Morgan Cole, 31, of Waverly has been charged with drug paraphernalia possession by Sayre Borough Police on April 12.
Cole was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle, a "snort tube," and a small baggie with white residue, Sayre Police said.
The charges stem from an incident on the single lane bridge on North Thomas Avenue in Sayre where police found a person walking across the vehicle traffic only bridge as well as a vehicle parked by the bridge.
Cole has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Sept. 1 for her preliminary hearing.
Sayre man and woman charged with drug paraphernalia possession
Christine Lee Ierardi, 23, and Joseph Tompson Dewey, 29, both of Sayre, face charges following a May 29 incident at Dewey's residence, according to Sayre Borough Police.
Dewey and Ierardi were charged with drug paraphernalia possession, as Dewey was found to have a glass water bong and a glass pipe, both with residue, in his residence and Ierardi had a glass pipe with residue as well as a bag of synthetic marijuana, police said.
Ierardi was also charged with corruption of minors after police said she assisted a 17-year-old girl in smoking a controlled substance that Ierardi provided, police said.
Dewey was charged with corruption of minors, obstructing the administration of law, and disorderly conduct during the incident as well.
Dewey and Ierardi have been issued summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Sept. 1 for their preliminary hearings.
DUI charges
The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
Timothy S. Gillie, 37, of Chemung, by Athens Township Police, on June 18, on Highland Drive in Athens Township. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Gillie's blood alcohol content was .239 percent on the day of his arrest. Gillie has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Jammie L. Lee, 47, of Athens, by Athens Township Police, on June 15, on Wolcott Road in Athens Township. Lee also was charged with recklessly endangering another person and passengers in open trucks. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Lee's blood alcohol content was .27 percent on the day of his arrest. Lee has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Cassidy John Austin, 21, of Waverly, by Pennsylvania State Police, on June 16, on U.S. Route 220 in Athens Township. Austin also was charged with drug paraphernalia possession, operating a vehicle without registration, operating a vehicle without financial responsibility, failure to obey traffic lanes, and careless driving. A blood chemical test later revealed that Austin's blood contained synthetic cannabinoid drugs on the day of his arrest. Austin has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Cori Tyler Wilcox, 19, of Waverly, by Athens Borough Police, on June 21, on North Elmira Street in Athens Borough. Wilcox also was charged with careless driving. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Wilcox's blood alcohol content was .042 percent on the day of his arrest. Lee has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Andrew Ronald Bortle, 31, of Sayre, by Athens Borough Police, on June 23, on Pennsylvania Avenue in Athens Borough. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Bortle's blood alcohol content was .209 percent on the day of his arrest. Bortle has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Jermaine Torran Masker, 29, of Waverly, by Pennsylvania State Police, on July 4, on U.S. Route 220 in Athens Township. Masker also was charged with operating a vehicle without a license, driving at an unsafe speed, driving at excess speeds, and careless driving. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Masker's blood content was .144 percent on the day of his arrest. Masker has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
Mark William Vanderpool, 58, of Sayre, by Sayre Borough Police, on July 12, on North Thomas Avenue in Sayre Borough. A blood alcohol test later revealed that Vanderpool's blood alcohol content was .233 percent on the day of his arrest. Vanderpool has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Tim Clark on Aug. 28 for his preliminary hearing.
