People charged with harassment
State police at Towanda said Diane Leonard, 26, of Columbia Cross Roads, and Kimberly Bilbrey, 39, of Gillett, were charged with harassment for an incident that took place at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19 on Big Pond Road in Springfield Township.
According to police, they engaged in a physical altercation constituting harassment.
Police said charges were filed at District Court 42-3-01.
Man charged with harassment
State police at Towanda said a 22-year-old Canton man was charged with harassment through District Court 42-3-01 for an incident that took place between approximately 11 p.m. and 11:25 p.m. Aug. 20 on LeRoy Mountain Road in LeRoy Township.
Police said he and a 22-year-old Canton woman engaged in a verbal altercation, which became physical.
Police did not provide the name of the people who were involved in the incident.
Burglary reported
Someone told state police at Towanda that it appeared someone had been in his neighbor's house at approximately 9:55 p.m. Aug. 8 on Route 14 in Gillett.
The victim was listed as Bonnie Lynn Silvernail-Batterson, no age or address given.
Police said the incident is under investigation.
Theft by deception reported
State police at Towanda said an unknown person called the Pump N Pantry sometime between 1:23 a.m. and 1:51 a.m. Aug. 22 on Springbrook Drive in Canton Township and pretended to be a customer service representative of Verifone.
According to police, the caller convinced the cashier to purchase nine $50 phone cards as a test of the system, obtained the PIN for the cards, and then told the cashier that their system was functioning property and to destroy the receipts for the phone cards.
