Man cited

State police at Mansfield said a non-traffic citation was filed against Kevin N. Costas, 23, of Canton.

According to police, Costas drove past a residence six to 10 times, yelling profanities and "you're dead" between approximately 12:30 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. Aug. 23 on Route 414 in Union Township, Tioga County, Pa.

Burglary investigated

State police at Towanda said they are investigating a burglary that occurred sometime between 5 p.m. Aug. 3 and 9 p.m. Aug. 9 on Burlington Turnpike in Towanda Township.

According to police, someone unknown forcefully entered a property, but nothing was taken or disturbed.

The victim in the incident was Carol J. Zukerman, 62, of Towanda, police said.

People arrested

State police at Towanda said a 64-year-old Towanda man and a 35-year-old Towanda woman were arrested for an incident that occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Aug. 9 on Covered Bridge Road in Burlington Township in which they engaged in a verbal altercation, which became physical.

Police did not provide the names of the people who were arrested.

Birds killed by dogs

Robert Potcher, 66, of Granville Summit, told state police at Towanda that two unidentified large dogs, believed to be Great Danes, killed four chickens, one turkey and one duck at his farm at approximately 9:30 a.m. Aug. 22 on Baxter Hill Road in Granville Summit.

According to police, one dog was described as gray and the other as spotted.

Walmart theft leads to charge

Porshea Linnette Moore, 30, of Waverly, was charged with retail theft by Athens Township Police on Aug. 27 when Moore fled the Elmira Street Walmart in Athens Township after being confronted about stealing merchandise, Athens police said.

According to Walmart's asset protection associate, Moore placed items in her cart then exited the store without paying for them after being confronted.

Police stopped Moore in her vehicle on Elmira Street and placed her under arrest, police said.

The total cost of the items Moore attempted to steal is $282.74, police said.

According to police, Moore had a prior conviction for retail theft from Sayre Borough Police in June.

Moore was remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 bail.

Moore will appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Sept. 8 for her preliminary hearing.

Columbia Cross Roads woman facing public drunkenness, disorderly conduct charges

Athens Borough Police charged Tracey Lynn Austin-Osmond, 41, of Columbia Cross Roads, with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, obscene language, on Aug. 28 after responding to an altercation in the Athens Borough municipal parking lot, Athens police said.

According to an affidavit, police found Austin-Osmond arguing with a teenage male in the parking lot after she and another male were drinking at several bars.

Austin-Osmond wanted the teen to ride with her in a vehicle, but the teen was scared due to Austin-Osmond's intoxication, police said.

Police said Austin-Osmond's speech was slurred, she staggered when walking, and was leaning on a vehicle to stay standing.

Austin-Osmond was using obscene language and police advised her several times to lower her voice and stop using profanities as minor children were nearby in Teaoga Square, police said.

Police said Austin-Osmond continued to use profanities despite police telling her not to and police then took her into custody.

Austin-Osmond has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw on Sept. 29 for her preliminary hearing.

DUI charges

The following people were recently charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:

Lance Eugene Gesford, 32, of Athens, by Athens Borough Police, on July 13, on East Cooper Street and Dogwood Avenue in Athens Borough. Gesford has also been charged with failure to obey stop signs and reckless driving. Gesford later refused a blood alcohol test to determine his blood alcohol content. Gesford has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Sept. 25 for his preliminary hearing.

Corey Michael Rose, 22, of Athens, by Athens Borough Police, on Aug. 2, on Church Street in Athens Borough. A blood alcohol test later revealed Rose's blood alcohol content to be .223 percent on the day of his arrest. Rose has been issued a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark on Sept. 25 for his preliminary hearing.
