Burglary investigation
An unknown person broke into a private residence on Hess Road in Sheshequin Township on Aug. 26, according to a press release from state police.
Police said the actor stole a 32" Vizio television, an air compressor, a framing nailer, a portable car charger, a JC Higgins 20-gauge shotgun, a .22LR bolt action rifle and scrap copper.
The investigation continues.
Man tries to purchase gun illegally
State police are investigating an incident that occurred at Shermbob's Guns and Ammo in South Creek Township in November 2014.
According to police, a 54-year-old Athens male attempted to purchase a handgun but was declined by the Pennsylvania Instant Check System, which conducts automated background checks. Police said the system denied the purchase.
Harassment charge in New Albany
Patty A. Manuel, 44, of New Albany has been charged with harassment relating to a Sept. 6 incident that occurred on Front Street in New Albany Borough, according to state police.
Police said Manuel struck Amanda A. Coady, 23, of Wysox in the face.
