Theft charge
A Sayre man was recently charged with theft by unlawful taking by Athens Township police.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Warren Frederick Morrison Jr., 18, was also charged with receiving stolen property.
Police said Morrison, who worked as a cashier at the Walmart store on Elmira Street, removed $1,451 in cash from the store between April and August.
Morrison's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17.
Barton woman charged
A Barton, N.Y. woman was recently arrested by Sayre police on a charge of possession of a small amount of marijuana.
According to papers filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Johanna Elaine Graham, 29, was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said Graham was found to be in possession of marijuana, a homemade pipe, hypodermic needles and other drug paraphernalia during investigation into an Aug. 7 incident in the borough.
Graham was arraigned Aug. 7 by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and remanded to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. Graham's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 13.
No injuries
State police at Towanda said no one was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 2:08 p.m. July 8 on Baptist Hill Road in Columbia Township.
Police said Jesse J. Tunnicliff, 21, of Sayre, was traveling west, lost control of his Ford
Ranger, and traveled onto the northern roadside, where the vehicle rolled over. It went back onto the road, where it came to final rest in the westbound lane, upside down facing southwest.
Police said a passenger, Damian J. Kirkey, 22, of Towanda, was not injured.
