Batteries taken

State police at Towanda said they are investigating the theft of three "331 Heavy Duty Truck Batteries" that were removed from a parked Peterbilt dump truck between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 22 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 23 in a parking lot, off Route 414, just east of Canton Borough and across the street from Cudd Energy.

Police said the batteries belong to HRI, Inc. of Williamsport.

Fugitive taken into custody

State police at Towanda said Taylor Scott Myers, 34, of Doty Hill Road, Gileltt, was taken into custody by members of the Pennsylvania State Police at Towanda at 7:15 a.m. Sept. 22 on Doty Hill Road in South Creek Township.

Police said he was a fugitive of justice, and had an active arrest warrant, due to a parole violation.

Police said charges were filed in District Court 42-3-01.

Burglary investigated

State police at Towanda said they are investigating a burglary that occurred between Aug. 21-24 in South Creek Township.

According to police, the victim was a 37-year-old Gillett man.

Police said they have developed suspects who are believed to be responsible for this incident.

Man arrested

State police at Towanda said Terry Satterly, Jr., 32, of Towanda, was arrested as a fugitive from justice Sept. 23 at the Bradford County Correctional Facility, as a result of an active warrant that existed for him from Waverly, N.Y. for "criminally using drug paraphernalia."

Paintballs shot at residence

State police at Towanda said that someone drove past the residence of a 54-year-old woman at 1:10 p.m. Sept. 21 in the area of 16000 Route 414, Franklin Township, and shot paintballs at the residence and fled in an unknown direction.
