Towanda resident accused of shoplifting
Jevin Vanderpool, 21, of Towanda will be cited for retail theft after he stole $54.36 worth of baby formula and baby food from the Tops supermarket in Wysox Township, police said.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday, state police at Towanda said.
Accident occurs in Towanda Twp.
Eva A. Brown, 57, of Towanda was uninjured in a recent motor vehicle accident in Towanda Township, police said.
Brown was traveling west on Plank Road at 2:10 p.m. on Sept. 20 when her vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, and went down an embankment, police said.
Wallet found in Wysox Twp.
A wallet, which belongs to 36-year-old Lance Lee Staples of Warren Center, was found on Sept. 20 at the Wysox Laundromat in Wysox Township, police said.

Towanda woman charged with disorderly conduct
Patricia A. Martinet, 39, of Towanda has been charged with disorderly conduct and harassment, police said.
The charges stem from a Sept. 6 incident in which Martinet allegedly attacked a female at 25 Walnut St. in Towanda after words were exchanged, police said.
Martinet is accused of ripping the victim's shirt and leaving scratch marks on her left upper shoulder, Towanda police said.
Martinet's preliminary hearing, which was originally scheduled for Sept. 16, has been postponed to Dec. 15, according to online court records.
Unauthorized use of motor vehicle
State police at Towanda said Stephanie Coolbaugh, 34, of Troy, failed to return a vehicle belonging to Elizabeth Hunter, 31, of Troy, when asked to do so sometime between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Aug. 29 in Troy Township.
According to police, Hunter falsely related that Coolbaugh never had permission to use the vehicle, implicating Coolbaugh in a felony.
Fugitive arrested
State police at Towanda said a crash investigation at approximately 8:48 p.m. Sept. 24 on Brague Road in Canton Township resulted in the arrest of Willie Thorpe, 24, of Canton as a fugitive of justice.
Police said he had an active warrant out of Morris County, N.J., and was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility, pending a preliminary hearing.
One injured in bus crash
State police at Towanda said one person had a minor injury in a crash involving a school bus that took place at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 18 on Route 414, at its intersection with East Canton Road, in LeRoy Township.
According to police, drivers involved in the crash were Sandra L. Navone, 71, of Canton, who had a minor injury but was not transported by EMS, and Charles L. Castle of Canton, who was not injured.
Police said Navone was traveling east in a Jeep Liberty on Route 414 and was approaching the intersection with East Canton Road. While traveling, Navone failed to see Castle's vehicle, an International Harvester bus, as it was stopped in the roadway, waiting for traffic in the opposite direction to pass so that it could turn left.
Then, police said, Navone's vehicle impacted Castle's vehicle, and pushed it approximately five to 10 feet east on Route 414. No passengers on the school bus were injured, and all were released to their family members, according to police. Police said there were five juvenile passengers in the bus, all from Canton.
Navone's vehicle was towed from the scene by Canton Auto Body, police said. Police said the fire and ambulance in Canton Township assisted at the scene.
Chainsaw removed
State police at Towanda said someone unknown entered an unlocked portion of the barn of Ronald Dennis Ayres, no age given, of Troy sometime between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 and 7:30 a.m. Sept. 24 on Belair Drive in Troy Township.
According to police, a red Jonesered chainsaw was carried away in the burglary, and a metal chain and lock from a separate portion of the barn was removed. The burglar or burglars fled the scene undetected, police said.
Police said an investigation is continuing.
Camera taken
State police at Towanda said someone unknown removed a black stealth game camera sometime between 12:01 a.m. Sept. 22 and 5:30 p.m. Sept. 25 on Old Post Lane in Columbia Township, and fled the scene undetected.
Police said the victim in the incident was Charles Simpson, no age given, of Elmira, N.Y.
Burglary reported
State police at Towanda said someone unknown made a forced entry into a residence sometime between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Sept. 25 on Griffin Lane in Canton Township and damaged property inside the residence.
Police said unknown items were stolen from the residence.

Towanda man injured in crash
A 19-year-old Towanda man suffered minor injuries after crashing a Ford Escort at about 5 a.m. on Sept. 26 on James Street in Sheshequin Township, state police said.
According to police, Dayton D. Cote was heading north on James Street when he lost control of the vehicle while navigating a curve.
The vehicle left the road and struck a tree, then a telephone pole, continued north and overturned, police said.
The vehicle came to rest on its roof along the northbound shoulder of James Street, police said.
According to police, Cote was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and the vehicle was towed by Junior's Towing with the Upper Sheshequin Fire and Ambulance Department assisting at the scene.
Cote was cited for failure to obey traffic lanes, police said.
Criminal mischief in Ridgebury
State police said between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sept. 21, a vehicle was damaged at a Ridgebury Road residence in Ridgebury Township.
Police said the incident is being investigated.
