Man cited in Cherry Twp. crash
State police at Laporte recently investigated a one-car motor vehicle accident in Cherry Township.
According to information from state police, a 2007 Chevrolet Express 3500 van operated by Ronald J. Roberts, 30, of Exeter, Pa., was traveling east on Dutch Mountain Road at about 8:10 a.m. Aug. 8 when it swerved to miss a deer and traveled off the north side of the roadway into a small ditch.
Roberts, who was not injured, was cited for failure to stay in a single lane, police said.
Waverly police make arrests
The following people were recently arrested by Waverly village police, according to information from the Waverly Police Department:
Gary R. Elia, 32, of Newfield, N.Y., for harassment, following a disturbance call.
Todd Martin, 46, of Sayre, for harassment, following a complaint that he was making unwanted telephone calls.
Jessica A. Peters, 36, of Sayre, for criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle, following a traffic stop.
Erica C. Coolbaugh, 23, of Sayre, for three county of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count each of obstruction of governmental administration and false personation.
Nicole Searles, 32, of Barton, N.Y., for two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of a hypodermic needle.
Jeremy Johnson, 26, of Barton, N.Y., on a warrant for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Police said Johnson was also charged with possession of a hypodermic needle at the time of his arrest.
Sterling Robbins, 54, of Waverly, for driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated, following a stop on Broad Street.
Amanda M. Cassidy, 26, of Waverly, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right and failure to stop at a stop sign, following a traffic stop.
Allen Carnrike, 41, of Waverly, for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, following a traffic stop on Cayuta Avenue.
A 17-year-old female juvenile of Waverly, for grand larceny and petit larceny, after she reportedly stole a debit card.
A 15-year-old male juvenile of Waverly, for burglary and criminal mischief, following investigation into vandalism at East Waverly Park. The juvenile will answer the charges in family court, police said.
Two charged with harassment
State police at Towanda recently charged two individuals with simple assault and harassment following an altercation in Wysox Township.
According to information from state police, Isaac Strope, 60, and Hila Strope, 45, both of Towanda, were involved in a verbal argument that turned physical at about 2 p.m. July 17 at a Dogwood Lane location. Police said prescription pills and drug paraphernalia were also located on Hila Strope.
Police investigating theft
State police at Towanda are investigating the theft of blank checks from a victim in Ulster Township.
According to state police information, an unknown actor removed two checks from the victim and then cashed them at a local bank on or around July 8. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186.
Theft by deception investigated
State police are investigating a theft by deception case in Wysox Township.
According to information from state police at Towanda, an unknown female actor called Serpico's Restaurant on July 13 and placed a food order for delivery totaling $117.45. Upon delivering to a residence, the owner said she did not place the order, police said.

Stolen vehicle recovered
State police at Towanda recently
recovered a vehicle reported stolen from Athens Borough.
According to information from state police, the white 1999 Ford Explorer was located July 13 on Route 414 in Monroe Township. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact the Athens Borough Police Department.
Burglary reported
State police are investigating a recent burglary in Litchfield Township.
According to information from state police at Towanda, an unknown actor or actors broke into a Snow Road residence sometime on July 9 or 10. The actor did not remove anything from the residence, police said.

ATV stolen
State police are investigating the recent theft of an all-terrain vehicle in Sheshequin Township.
