Hopewell Crime for Aug. 18

The following information was provided by the Hopewell Police Department,

- Assault-Aggravated: At 1:29 a.m. Aug 10, police responded to the area of S. 8th Avenue and City Point Road for reported shots fired. After argument, unknown offender shot victim in hip.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Commercial: 11 p.m. Aug. 10, police responded to 900 block of Winston Churchill Drive for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered business by breaking glass door and stole cash.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Outbuilding/Garage: At 5:19 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 1600 block of Atlantic Street for a reported larceny. Offender entered shed and stole lawn mower and weed eater. Lawn mower recovered, offender later arrested.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 3 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded to the 1000 block of Burnside Street for a reported burglary, Known offender entered unlocked residence and assaulted victim by slapping. Nothing stolen.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 3:05 a.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 1400 block of High Avenue in regards to a burglary. Unknown offender entered residence by prying rear door and stole jewelry and change.

- Burglary/Breaking and Entering/Residential: At 4 p.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 100 block of S. 22nd Avenue for a reported burglary. Unknown offender entered the residence by removing window a/c unit and stole plates and microwave.

- Drugs/Narcotic Violation: At 2:13 a.m. Aug. 6, police conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block Poythress St. The driver attempted to flee was found to be in possession of narcotics and was arrested.

- Drugs/Narcotic Violation: At 3:44 a.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 400 block of Westhill Road for a reported trespassing. Juvenile offenders ran from police. One was apprehended and found to be in possession of narcotics. Petitions pending.

- Drugs/Narcotic Violation: At 2:22 a.m. Aug. 11, while monitoring traffic in the 5100 block of Oaklawn Boulevard, police made contact with a stopped vehicle. Driver and passenger were in possession of narcotics and were arrested.

- Larceny/Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts/Accessories: At 12 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded to the 300 block of N. 3rd Avenue for a report of a larceny. Unknown offender stole vehicle plate decals.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3:28 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 1200 block of Terrace Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole an unsecured bicycle from next to a residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 3 a.m. Aug. 5, police responded to the 1900 block of Old Iron Road for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole an unsecured week eater from outside a residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 1;45 a.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 300 block of Allen Avenue in regards stolen property. Known offender was found to be in possession of a stolen generator and was arrested.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 7 p.m. Aug. 6, police responded to the 400 block of N. 2nd Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole an unsecured bicycle from behind a building, leaving another bicycle in its place.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8:22 p.m. Aug 7, police responded to the 400 block of Allen Avenue for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole a wallet from a residence.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7, police responded to headquarters for a reported larceny that occurred in the 400 block of Weston Lane. Unknown offender stole two cell phones from backpack on pier.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 6:05 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 200 block of Eppes Street in regards to a larceny. Unknown offender stole purse with wallet from business.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 12:15 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 2900 block of Oaklawn Boulevard in regards to a larceny. Unknown offender stole a bicycle which was recovered.

- Larceny-All Other Larceny: At 2:30 a.m. Aug. 10, police responded to the 3800 block of Oaklawn Boulevard for a reported larceny. Unknown offenders left restaurant without paying the bill.

- Larceny-Shoplifting: At 7:18 p.m. Aug. 10, police responded to the 300 block of E. Broadway in regards to a shoplifting. Known offender attempted to steal clothing from business. Petitions pending.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 10 a.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 1000 block of Pierce Street for a reported larceny. Unknown offender stole E-Reader from residence.

- Larceny-Theft From Building: At 8:05 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 300 block of E. Broadway for a reported larceny. Known offender attempted to steal cash from business.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Moped, Motorcycle, Other Vehicle: At 10 p.m. Aug. 7, police responded to the 100 block of N. 14th Avenue for a reported larceny. Known offender stole mini-bike from garage. Mini-bike recovered and offender arrested.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Moped, Motorcycle, Other Vehicle: At 9 p.m. Aug. 11, police responded to the 300 block of Stonewall for a reported larceny. Offender stole moped from rear yard. Moped later recovered.

- Motor Vehicle Theft/Moped, Motorcycle, Other Vehicle: At 1 a.m. Aug. 11, police responded to the 400 block of S. 21st Avenue for a reported larceny. Offender stole unsecured moped from yard. Moped later recovered.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 9:50 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded the 15th block of S. 6th Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender kicked rear door.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 12 p.m. Aug. 5, police responded to the 3100 block of Sussex Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 2:30 a.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 3300 block of Sussex Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offenders broke three vehicles' windows with crowbar.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property; At 5 p.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 400 block of E. Cawson Street for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged a residential rear door by forcing locks.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 7:51 p.m. Aug. 8, police responded to the 2400 block of River Road for a reported disturbance. Two known offenders damaged park pavilion shingles. Petitions pending.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property; At 12 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 1100 block of Blackstone Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke residential window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 3:30 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 200 block of S. 15th Avenue for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged a storefront window.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11 p.m. Aug. 10, police responded to the 300 block of Woodbine Street for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender damaged light post.

- Vandalism/Damage/Destruction of Property: At 11:58 a.m. Aug. 10, police responded to the 3300 block of Sussex Drive for a reported vandalism. Unknown offender broke vehicle window.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 10:40 p.m. Aug. 9, police responded to the 2600 block of Berry Street in regards to shots fired. Known offender shot weapon inside of vehicle and was arrested. No injuries.

- Weapon Law Offenses: At 12:31 a.m. Aug. 11, police responded to the 700 block of Crestline Boulevard in regards to shots fired. Known offenders fired multiple rounds in the area. No injuries.
