Burglary occurs in Monroe Twp.
State police are trying to determine who forced their way into a residence recently in Monroe Township, police said.
Once inside, the burglar or burglars stole a hunting crossbow, police said.
The residence is owned by a 44-year-old Monroeton man, state police said.
The burglary occurred sometime between 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6:50 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Towanda woman charged with arrest prior to requisition
On Thursday evening, twenty-seven-year-old NovaJo Wright of Towanda was charged with arrest prior to requisition, police said.
Wright was arrested on the charge at a location on Bridge Street Hill Road in Towanda Township, police said.
Wright was then arraigned by Troy Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of $65,000 bail, police said.
Wright has an active full extradition warrant from the Waverly Police Department for possession of a controlled substance, police said.
Wright is currently awaiting extradition to Waverly, N.Y., state police at Towanda said.
Burglary occurs in Cherry Twp.
A burglary has occurred at a garage on state Route 487 in Cherry Township, Sullivan county, police said.
The garage is owned by 53-year-old Jon Courtney of Quakertown, Pa., police said.
One or more individuals forcibly entered the garage and stole a Craftsman brand reciprocating saw, a SKIL brand circular saw, various hand tools, and approximately $10 worth of change, police said.
The burglary occurred sometime between May 28, 2012 and Aug. 24, 2013, police said.

Vandalism occurs in N. Towanda Twp.
Someone recently damaged a double-pane window on the back of the building at 20485 state Route 220 in North Towanda Township, police said.
The vandalism occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, state police said.

Man charged in Tuscarora Twp. theft
Phillip Mark Warfle Jr., 24, who is currently incarcerated in the Wyoming County Jail has been charged with entering an unoccupied structure, theft by unlawful taking or disposition and receiving stolen property relating to an incident that occurred between April 17 and April 18 at a private residence in Tuscarora Township.
According to police, Warfle entered a house in the middle of the night and stole various items including a credit card and $70 in cash.
Warfle was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton and remanded to the Bradford County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear before Judge Wheaton again on Aug. 27 for a preliminary hearing.
Man charged with dealing marijuana
Nicholas Christopher Mercado-Cummer, 23, of Traverse City, Michigan has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communications facility and possession of a controlled substance relating to a Jan. 23 incident at a private residence in Wysox Township.
According to police, Mercado-Cummer sold 11.4 grams of marijuana to a confidential informant.
Mercado-Cummer has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Sept. 24 for a preliminary hearing.
Waverly police make arrests
Waverly village police recently made the following arrests, according to information from the Waverly Police Department:
Virgil J. Collins, 28, of Kansas, Okla., on Aug. 16, on a warrant out of the Village of Waverly for issuing a bad check.
Aaron D. Smith, 29, of Sayre, on Aug. 18, for driving while intoxicated, operating a motorcycle without a helmet and operating with an out of class license.
Eric J. Waters, 21, of Sayre, on Aug. 18, on a warrant for aggravated harassment out of the Schuyler County, N.Y. Sheriff's Office. Waters was turned over to the sheriff's department, police said.
Michael E. Comstock, 22, of Sayre, on Aug. 22, for criminal mischief, after breaking the glass of a storm door. Comstock was also taken into custody on a warrant out of the City of Elmira for petit larceny, police said. Comstock was turned over to the Elmira Police Department.
Man cited following Ulster incident
State police at Towanda recently cited an Ulster man for failing to have his dogs confined to his property.
According to state police information, Sean P. Dollard, 49, was cited after his two dogs were running loose on Cash Creek Road Aug. 20. A woman was operating an all-terrain vehicle on her property when the dogs caused her to roll the vehicle, police said.
Vacation home burglarized
State police are investigating the theft of items from a vacation home in South Creek Township.
According to information from state police at Towanda, an unknown actor or actors broke into the Roaring Run Road residence sometime between July 12 and Aug. 21 and removed several guns, tools and electrical items.

Garbage dumped
State police at Towanda seek an unknown actor accused of scattering rubbish in Sheshequin Township.
According to state police information, the actor dumped household garbage on a yard along State Route 1043 sometime between July 13 and July 30. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186.
Two arrested following domestic incident
Athens Township police recently arrested two township residents on charges of simple assault and harassment.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Greg Scott Brown, 28, and Tricia Marie Brown, 26, were charged following an argument at their Wilawana Road residence.
Both were arraigned Aug. 26 by Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Wilcox and released from the Bradford County Jail on their own recognizance. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Sept. 3.
Man charged with disorderly conduct
A Van Etten, N.Y. man was recently arrested by Sayre Borough police on a charge of disorderly conduct.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Anthony Gerald Stutzenstein, 31, was also charged with resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said Stutzenstein tried to flee officers as police attempted to take him into custody on a warrant Aug. 22 in the area of the 300 and 400 blocks of North Elmer Avenue. Police found several items of drug paraphernalia on Stutzenstein's person, including hypodermic needles, alcohol prep pads, a rubber tie-off band and an aluminum mixing bowl, police said.
Stutzenstein's preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 8.
DUI Charges
The following people have recently been charged with driving while under the influence in Bradford County:
Stephen Andrew Maines, 52, of LeRaysville, by state police, on Aug. 10, on State Route 706 at the intersection of State Route 409 in Wyalusing Township.
Maines has also been charged with failing to stay in a single lane, driving at an unsafe speed and careless driving.
On the night of his arrest Maines had a blood alcohol content of .199 percent.
Maines has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Sept. 24 for a preliminary hearing.
Timothy Lee McDonald, 54, of West Lebanon, by state police, on Aug. 6, on State Route 6 near Dandy Mini Mart in Wysox.
McDonald has also been charged with operating a vehicle without proper registration and careless driving.
Police said McDonald refused to submit to a blood alcohol concentration test on the night of his arrest.
McDonald has been sent a summons to appear before Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton on Sept. 24 for a preliminary hearing.
