Police probe break-ins at 3 Hanover Twp. businesses
HANOVER TWP. - Police are investigating break-ins at three businesses on Parkway Plaza on Sans Souci Parkway.
Sometime overnight between last Tuesday and Wednesday, someone forced entry through a rear door into the Jackson Hewitt tax office and an empty business in the same strip. Officers also found that someone smashed the front glass door of Gold-N-More. Someone also tried to pry open the front door of a wine and spirits store but did not succeed.
No items were reported missing Wednesday morning. Hanover Township police asked anyone with information to contact them at 570-825-1254.
Dozens involved in fight in Plains Twp.
PLAINS TWP. - Police reported they broke up a large fight around 1 a.m. Saturday.
The fight, which involved approximately 50 people, took place in the middle of South River Street. It started at the 279 Bar and Grill. There were no injuries or arrests, police said.
Man reports license plate stolen
HANOVER TWP. - Police are seeking information on a stolen license plate.
Nathan Warrick told police Saturday that some time within the past few days someone stole the license plate from inside his Lee Park Avenue residence. The plate is Pennsylvania registration JFZ-6580.

W-B man arrested on drug-dealing charges
HANOVER TWP. - A 30-year-old Wilkes-Barre man was arrested Friday for selling heroin and crack cocaine in Hanover Township and Nanticoke, according to Hanover Township police.
Alonzo McClinton, of East Northampton Street, was arrested as the result of an investigation by the state Attorney General's Municipal Luzerne County Drug Task Force. He was charged with multiple crimes, including delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute.
McClinton was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Donald Whittaker in Nanticoke and is in custody at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on $250,000 bond.

WILKES-BARRE - City police responded to the following incidents:
n Terrence Collins reported on Wednesday that he found a U.S. Government Geneva Identification Card, a counterfeit $20 bill and six cut sheets with the $20 bill image in a storage locker he purchased.
n A church in the 400 block of South Main Street was burglarized Thursday. The suspect entered the church, which police did not identify, through a broken stained glass window and stole speakers, money and keys, and also threw items around.
n A man reported Thursday that someone smashed the driver's side window of his vehicle as it was parked in the 700 block of South Main Street and stole stereo equipment and other items.
n Two city men were jailed in Luzerne County Correctional Facility on Saturday on outstanding warrants from Luzerne County. Mark D. Forman, 60, of Essex Lane, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. on the grounds of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Grant Collins, 41, of Coal Street, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. after a domestic dispute.
n A West Ross Street resident told police at 3:09 a.m. Saturday that someone entered an unlocked rear door of his apartment between midnight and 2 a.m. while the occupants were out and stole an Xbox 360, a PlayStation 3, an "NCAA 14" video game, cash and a black duffel bag.
n George Wolff was charged with retail theft Saturday after he stole numerous items from the Rite-Aid at 155 E. Northampton St. and fled on foot. He was caught by an officer on the scene and arrested.
n Dale Minnick of Hazle Street faces simple assault charges after allegedly hitting someone on the head and throwing the person to the ground at 11:50 p.m. Saturday. The victim showed signs of recent physical injury to the head and a swollen right eye and was transported to a local medical facility. An arrest warrant will be issued for Minnick, police said.
n A woman told police at 1:12 a.m. Sunday that someone stole the vehicle insurance and registration cards from her Honda Accord while it was parked at an establishment on Barney Street.
