HAZLE TWP. - Two men are being charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing a vacuum cleaner from the Walmart in Hazle Township on Saturday, state police at Hazleton said.
Thomas Richards, 35, of Luzerne, and Donald Kinney, 37, of Wilkes-Barre allegedly conspired to take a Dyson vacuum valued at $349 from the Walmart Superstore. Loss prevention saw the men leave the store without paying for it. Police said Richards was apprehended and admitted to the theft.
PLAINS TWP. - Police were summoned to Golden Living Center on East Mountain Boulevard at 5:17 p.m. Friday on a report of a man on the property harassing and cursing at employees working outside. Officers caught up with the alleged suspect, Mark Foreman of Clarks Summit, at the Sheetz gas station. They discovered Foreman had an active arrest warrant from the Wilkes-Barre Police Department for larceny. Plains police arrested him and Wilkes-Barre police came and took Foreman into custody.
