WILKES-BARRE TWP. - Township police responded to the following incidents:
n At 4:50 p.m. Friday, police arrested Arwen Oakley, 23, and Jordan Davis, 25, both of New Windor, N.Y., for shoplifting at Wegmans, 220 Highland Park Blvd. According to store security, Oakley stole $71.65 worth of merchandise and Davis stole $22.95 worth of merchandise. They were each charged with a summary count of retail theft and released.
n At 6:38 p.m. Friday, police cited James Johnson, 38, of Binghamton, N.Y., after he was apprehended for shoplifting at Kohl's, 445 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd. According to store security, Johnson stole $58 worth of merchandise. He was charged with a summary count of retail theft and released.
n At 1:33 a.m. Saturday, an employee of Turkey Hill, 340 Wilkes-Barre Township Blvd., reported to police that the store was robbed with a man, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and 195 pounds, fled from the store with the cash drawer containing an unknown amount of cash. He was further described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a white mask covering his face. No weapon was displayed and no one was injured. Anyone with information is asked to contact 911.
