Retail theft charge
A Waverly man was recently incarcerated by Sayre Borough police on a charge of retail theft.
According to information filed with Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw, Timothy Lee Beavers, 28, attempted to remove a calzone from the Tops supermarket on Keystone Avenue at about 9:18 p.m. Sept. 11. The calzone was valued at $4.29, police said.
Beavers was arraigned Sept. 11 by Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark and remanded to the Bradford County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail. Beavers' preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17.
Juvenile charged in school fight
State police have charged a 16-year-old female with harassment relating to a Sept. 6 incident at the Wyalusing Valley Jr./Sr. High School in Wyalusing Township.
According to police, the female struck another 16-year-old female in the face at the school.
Police said charges have been filed at the court of Magisterial District Judge Fred Wheaton.
