Juvenile's cell phone stolen in Stevens Twp.

State police said an unknown actor stole a 17-year-old female's cell phone while she was sleeping at a residence on State Route 1012 in Stevens Township. Police said the theft occurred on Nov. 10 between the hours of 3 a.m. to 8 a.m..

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186, or submit an anonymous tip at 1-800-4-PA-TIPS. Anonymous tips may pay up to $2,000.

Mailbox damaged in Windham Twp.

State police said a mailbox was damaged at the edge of a driveway sometime between the night of Nov. 9 and the morning of Nov. 10 on the 1600 block of Buck Road in Windham Township.

Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at (570) 265-2186.

Burglary reported

State police at Towanda said a burglary took place sometime between noon Oct. 26 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 27 at Cummings Lumber on Route 14 in Troy Township.

Police said someone damaged the front door and window to an office building to make entry, and then fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means. Nothing was stolen from inside the building.

Burglary investigated

State police at Towanda said they are investigating a burglary that took place sometime between 11 a.m. Nov. 2 and 3 p.m. Nov. 3 on Southside Road in Leroy Township.

Police said the victim was a 65-year-old Canton woman and no suspects can be linked to the investigation at this time.

Runaway reported

State police at Towanda said a 17-year-old male from Roaring Run Road in South Creek Township has been reported as a runaway, and an investigation is ongoing.

Shot investigated

State police at Towanda said they are investigating an incident in which a projectile round was shot through the cottage of a 77-year-old Springfield woman sometime between Sept. 2-12 on Lake Shore Lane in Springfield Township.

Canton man charged with felons not to possess a firearm

Stanley Benson Butler, 43, of Canton has been charged with felons not to possess a firearm, simple assault, recklessly endangering, terroristic threats, and harassment, police said.

The charges stem from an Oct. 27 incident in which Butler threatened a 22-year-old male and a 45-year-old female, and fired a 20-gauge shotgun off while in their presence, police said.

The incident occurred in Canton Township, state police at Towanda said.

Butler was arraigned on Oct. 28 by Towanda Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark. Butler was then sent to the Bradford County jail in lieu of bail.

Butler's preliminary hearing, which was originally scheduled for Nov. 6 in Troy District Court, has been postponed to Nov. 13.

Dushore man faces drug, DUI charges

Darin Scott Kohl, 45, of Dushore has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, and careless driving, court records show.

The charges stem from an Oct. 17 incident in which Kohl showed signs of intoxication at a regulatory traffic checkpoint on Railroad Street in Dushore, police said.

Kohl, who failed field sobriety tests, was arrested at the checkpoint, state police at Laporte said.

During a search of Kohl, a small amount of marijuana and a metal pipe containing a suspected marijuana residue were located in his jacket, police said.

Kohl must face the charges at a Dec. 3 preliminary hearing in Laporte District Court.
