Judge Vito Geroulo sentenced the following defendants recently in Lackawanna County Court:
- Stewart B. Pittman, 38, of New Castle, Del., to one to three years in state prison for escape.
- Karim S. Jones, 27, of 1722 Van Buren Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y., to two to five years in state prison for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
- Todd Anthony Butler, 48, of 322 Harrison Ave., Scranton, to 27½ days in county jail for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- John Anthony Frei, 45, of 319 George St., Throop, to 90 days of house arrest, 57 months of intermediate punishment and a $1,500 fine for driving under the influence.
- Patrick T. Ruane, 27, of 2214 Pittston Ave., Scranton, to five days in county jail, five months, 25 days of intermediate punishment and a $300 fine for DUI.
- Kyle A. Miller, 24, of 541 Deerfield Ave., Clarks Summit, to 90 days of house arrest, three months of intermediate punishment and a $750 fine for DUI.
- Louis Andrewlavage, 56, of 49 Walsh Plaza, Olyphant, to two days of house arrest, five months, 28 days of intermediate punishment and a $500 fine for DUI.
- Jacob E. Abplanalp, 28, of 509 Clinton St., Waverly, to two years of state intermediate punishment and two years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Judge Michael Barrasse recently sentenced:
- Robert W. Wazny, 23, of 200 Sunset Drive, Dunmore, to 14 days of house arrest, five months, 16 days of intermediate punishment and a $500 fine for DUI.
- Timothy A. Burrier, 39, of 630 N. Hyde Park Ave., Scranton, to two to five years in state prison and two years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Miguel Torres, 32, of 1320 Mulberry St., Scranton, to 27 months to five years in state prison and three years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and false identification to law enforcement.
- Charles Newberns, 27, of 1032 E. 95th St., Brooklyn, N.Y., to two to four years in state prison and four years of probation for conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Levi Brooks, 45, of 1110 S. Webster Ave., Scranton, to 18 months to three years in state prison, four years of probation and $2,100 in restitution for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and access device fraud.
- Elissa Tara Palmer, 33, of 509 Clinton St., Waverly, to two years of state intermediate punishment and three years of probation for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
- Jennifer Whipple, 31, of 1201 Capouse Ave., Apt. 14, Scranton, to two years of state intermediate punishment and five years of probation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft by unlawful taking, escape and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
