Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett has updated the status of the following criminal cases:
Darwin D. Pitty-Deleon, 24, Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 30 days to six months, and a fine of $300, for the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Anthony G. Stutzenstein, 33, VanEtten, N.Y., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from 58 days to 12 months, and a fine of $500, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Lauren M. Parks, 20, Troy, Pa., was sentenced to County Intermediate Punishment for 12 months with 60 days of house arrest under electronic supervision followed by probation for the remainder of the term, and a fine of $150, for the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Leroy C. Caskey, 27, Athens, Pa., was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five months to 23 months, 29 days, and a fine of $250, for the offense of Retail Theft.
Luis E. Nugra-Tacuri, 24, Tunkhannock, Pa., was sentenced to a total term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five days to 12 months, and a fine of $2000, for two counts of the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Additionally, Nugra-Tacuri's Pennsylvania driver license will be suspended for 12 months on each of the DUI counts for a total loss of driving privilege of 24 months.
Jade Smiley, 19, Waverly, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to probation for a term of 12 months.
David J. Eastman, 37, Ulster, Pa., plead guilty to Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol was sentenced to a term of imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility of from five days to six months, and a fine of $300.00; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 12 months.
Dale Arnold, 34, Athens, Pa., entered pleas of guilty to two counts of the offense of Harassment and was sentenced to imprisonment for a total term of six months.
Lewis W. Brassington, 34, New Albany, Pa., was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct following criminal bench trial before Senior Judge Kenneth Brown specially presiding in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas. Brassington was sentenced to pay a fine of $150 for the offense. Trooper Joseph Mitchell of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Brassington for the violation.
Jeremiah C. Ballard, 26, New Albany, Pa., was found guilty of Disorderly Conduct following criminal bench trial before Senior Judge Kenneth Brown specially presiding in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas. Brassington was sentenced to pay a fine of $150 for the violation. Trooper Joseph Mitchell of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Ballard for the offense.
David Spencer, 33, Sayre, Pa., entered pleas of guilty to the offenses of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Retail Theft; he will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence investigation by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Jason Serfas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Spencer for the offense.
Elese D. Minier, 28, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Minier will be sentenced following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. An agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit arrested Minier for the offense.
Mary Blokzyl, 44, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of Possession of a Designer Drug in April 2013 by an Agent of the Pennsylvania State Police Vice and Narcotics Unit, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Blokzyl will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Blokzyl must perform community service as a condition of ARD placement.
Derrick S. Rieco, 21, Canton, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in April 2013 by Officer Joshua Heckman of the Canton Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Rieco will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Rieco must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 90 days.
John W. Bailey, 33, Waverly, N.Y., charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in May 2013 by Trooper Kevin Hibson of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Bailey will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Bailey must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
Joseph C. Brink, 25, Wyalusing, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in June 2013 by Trooper David Sweeney of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, Brink will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Brink must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days.
Sean O'Connor, 45, Wyalusing, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in May 2013 by Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, O'Connor will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, O'Connor must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
Jason Waltz, 30, Morehead, Ky., charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in June 2013 by Officer Ryan Edsell of the Towanda Borough Police Department, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Waltz will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use.
Additionally, Waltz must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
Donald S. White, 33, Sayre, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol in March 2013 by Trooper Michael Moser of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation, White will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, White must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel as conditions of ARD placement; he will also lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 60 days.
Aarika J. Brown, 26, Canton, Pa., charged with the offense of Theft By Deception in January 2013 by Trooper Jeffrey Sredenschek of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, Brown will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, Brown must perform community service as a condition of ARD placement.
Marcus A. McNeal, charged with the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia in June 2013 by Trooper Nathan Lewis of the Pennsylvania State Police, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation, McNeal will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department, which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Additionally, McNeal must perform community service as a condition of ARD placement.
Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett announced that the following persons recently entered guilty pleas and were sentenced in Bradford County Magisterial District Courts:
Darcy Crone, 26, Wellsburg, N.Y., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to two counts of the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was ordered to pay a fine of $200.00 and court costs. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department and Corporal Walter Koehler of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Crone for the offenses in September and April 2013, respectively.
Robert Bump, 38, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was ordered to pay a fine of $200 and court costs. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Bump for the offense.
Erin Jerger, 24, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of five days and payment of court costs. Trooper Steve Steransky of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jerger for the offense.
Daniel Mountfield-Fisher, 18, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Underage Drinking and was ordered to pay a fine of $300, restitution in the amount of $262.68 and court costs; he must also do community service. Officer Derek Dekar of the Athens Borough Police Department arrested Mountfield-Fisher for the offense.
Jon Watkins, 29, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Disorderly Conduct and was sentenced to pay a fine of $300 and court costs. Officer Thomas VanFleet of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Watkins for the offense.
Michael Walter, 21, Laceyville, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before District Magisterial Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for a term of nine days and ordered to pay court costs. Trooper Christopher Stecik of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Walter for the offense.
Bradley Wise, 29, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional facility for a term of 30 days and payment of court costs. Officer Derek Dekar arrested Wise for the offense.
Kimberly McCurry, 31, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Michael Shaw to the offense of Theft By Unlawful Taking and was ordered to pay a fine of $300 and court costs. Officer Daniel Thomas of the Athens Township Police Department arrested McCurry for the offense.
Hope Raezer, 18, Athens, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offense of Harassment and was ordered to pay a fine of $50 court costs. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Raezer for the offense.
Todd Maynard, 38, Wysox, Pa., entered pleas of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offenses of Duty to Give Information and Render Aid and Limitations on Passing and was ordered to pay fines totaling $50 and court costs. Trooper John Youngblood of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Maynard for the offenses.
Bradley Baker, 22, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty before Magisterial District Judge Timothy Clark to the offenses of Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct and was sentenced to pay fines totaling $150 and court costs. Officer Brain Wibirt of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Baker for the offenses.
